 - bugfix_1:
* QoL - In the Arena, when an enemy grabs Maya for the 1st time, they are now guaranteed to play the specific ero variant that was selected.
* Changed - Alleviated a bit of the penalty in filling up the struggle bar when Maya has the "Whore Vore" trait.
* Changed - When accessories are first acquired, they won't be auto-equiped anymore (avoids disliked items being insta-equiped).
* Changed - Did some minor adjustments to the screen layout of Nene's Shop.
* Changed - Slight touch-up of the ero animation of the Hill Troll. His body size was a bit too small, so I redrew it and made it bigger.
* BugFix - Equipping certain accessories too early in the adventure would permanently reduce Maya's base attack power.

Hello everyone!

I apologize for the radio silence. Truth is that some personal matters have been demanding a lot of my time and mental attention, and this has directly and negatively impacted the development of MKM for the past couple of months.

Not ideal I know, especially since I wanted to begin 2025 on full throttle because this is last year of development on MKM. I'll have to cut/tone-down even more content than what it was already sized down, in order to release version 1.0 this year, but sadly it is what it is.

For the time being, please enjoy 4 new ero scenes for some existing characters. The main tags for this update are for fans of the faeries, lesb, micro, absorption and transformation. While 2 months have passed since the last update, the amount of content is not worth even barely a 1-month dev cycle, but it's something of a start as I'm hoping to be able to get back the momentum of the development that has been lost since last year.

The roadmap to 1.0 stays the same, but I'll have to speedrun through it, which means that some quality will have to be shed along the way, in favor of speed. It's a choice between having a decent but at least "finished" game project, or an abandoned one, and I DONT want to have the latter under my belt, if possible.

So here's wishing and hoping that it all works OK with MKM going forward!

Thanks for the report! That's more or less "intended", as in those debug keys are doing a lot of stuff for testing purposes. When the game is completed, I will put them into a dedicated cheat screen, and separate and fix all of the individual behaviors.

Hi there! Thank you for the cool suggestions! I like these ideas conceptually, but yeah you've kinda guessed it, as it would be tricky to implement progressive traits or per-enemy traits. Mostly because the trait system is already a "patchwork" on top of the Lust system already, so stretching its mechanics further would cause all sorts of tech troubles and bugs, so I'd rather not.

Hello there, new follower here. I noticed a small bug i think. Don't know if it has been fixed already or if here is even the right place for it. When i hit F7 to restore my armor values i get a small buff to my max HP. Just wanted to let you know. Appreciate your work. Sorry to hear that the year started rough. Wish you the best.

Hi hi, been lurking for a bit and finally got around to playing the new version to the game (had been playing the fairly old demo til now :<) so I may be a tad late here for my curiosity/request. With the whole traits system, would there be any possible ways for them to get harder to manage, kind of like a tier for the traits, the more it develops further the harder they are to manage? Like having the vore 'enthusiast' trait long enough while surviving further "encounters" gives you a stronger version of that trait that makes it even harder to escape if not outrightly cause an instant game over if say Nympho procs at the same time as you getting grabbed to be eaten or you have a third or fourth level to the trait's tier that does the same thing? Also would it be difficult to implement a way that, if we gain a trait during a game over we keep it? Or make it an option in the settings to retain them? Annnddd could we see some traits to do with general bdsm (beyond 'Spicy Pleasure') and some to do with specific monsters? Something like your lust raises faster if you're tied up by the driders, or if you're grabbed by goblins or kobolds or the bunnies that you start to have Nympho proc more often at seeing them/being hit by that enemy during a fight? If it'd be too much of a hellscape to try and code in something that specific, I understand, just more curious of what would be possible, cause for my own personal fun I wanna make challenge runs with specific traits to make survival more challenging, regardless I look forward to more of this game

Not that you asked for advice about this, but if I may... IMO you shouldn't view your audience as someone you need to explain yourself to if you run into issues. If personal stuff distracted you and you need more time, you have no obligation to explain it or apologize for anything. You should expect, and REQUIRE, that people respect the fact that you're human and are going to run into issues from time to time. If someone demands an explanation, tell them you went back in time to save the president or something

Yeah yeah, happy to help! It's most obvious in the last checkpoint of the... Oh gosh what's the name, Deity Machine area? The red final area. You can stand at the Crystal and the Dark Damsels will just conga line to you one by one from off screen. Eventually the fairies will show up too haha.

Wow Toby, now that's a good eye right there to be able to notice this change haha! I should expect nothing less from an OG fan! ;-) You're right, I did fiddle a bit with the range that some enemies can "sniff" and chase after Maya, resulting in more off-screen enemies moving towards her position. I'll take a look again at this changed behavior and adjust and tweak it a little more so as to not be so obvious. Thanks for the feedback!

Always lovely to see a new update from you, MBB! I really hope life stuff settles for you! As a small bit of feedback, the behavior for monsters has changed a little, hasn't it? I think there's some unintended new behaviors - enemies wayyyyy off screen are coming to Maya before the player even sees them, rather than waiting until they see Maya. This gets especially weird if Maya gets downed - enemies crowd around her even if another enemy is doing an ero animation with her, and it's... Really distracting compared to the way they used to wander off if another enemy grabbed her. In fact, they keep crowding around where she "used" to be if she gets defeated with a vore attack. The new behavior might need a little tweaking!

That's totally fair. There's a huge difference between doing something for the love of it, and because it pays the bills, even when there's some cross over. I wouldn't be surprised if this game has become very much the latter for you—I've been in that exact same position! Whatever you want to make next I'm sure will be great and I'll gladly support it.

It's like I answered on Vik's comment; indeed we all go through real life issues, and those things can be tough to handle, so I appreciate the sentiment and relate. I actually figured it out... i was trying to force a GO Animation so disabled most of the Fetishes for that and thne forgot to put them back on... DERP... BTW I know this is a bit of a out there bit of advice and I'm not meaning to trauma dump, but coupla years back (2022) my sister passed away from Covid, she had intellectual disabilities and I was primary carer, so lost my sister and my job same day and have been unable ot get a job since... I'm fine for most part, but why of my trauma isn't the main part just laying ground work on my advice. I played some games and stuff, but then I started watching Anime, specifically Isekai Anime, which gets a bad rap. Anyway it was pretty good for getting my emotions up. Not sure you know Isekai anime, but it's people going to Another World (Isekai means Another World) and usually getting Over Powered. For most that's not interesting but I love them. Anywee my point is Isekai is a lot of WINNING anime, like characters win and while there are still a lot of 'secret big bad still out there' like most anime, the point is for the most part the main characters win and it's just a lot of really wholesome characters and storylines. For me watching a lot of Isekai anime really helped me and might be something that helps ye, no guarantees of course, we are all different, but yeah when I was feeling crappy I'd through on something and watch characters win the day with OP powers. Anyway just something to keep in mind. Either way hope you keep well in any case.

Indeed, my issues are not unique or special; we're all human and we all have to deal with things in our personal lives, in various different shapes, but in the end we all relate to each other, in the sentiment of coping and dealing with stuff, and wishing/praying for better tidings. I hope for a more healed, peaceful and better world for you, and all of us. Post release support is an option for sure, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there :-) And glad to hear that you've enjoyed the new scenes! They were a nice distraction for me too, a neat little escape from reality while I was able to work on them. Hi Dirk! I really welcome your sensible sentiments as per usual! But in short, you've got it. I'm definitely not sick of working on MKM yet, but right now I'm beginning to see signs of... let's say "sub-optimal motivation" in myself, being perfectly honest. So what I'm doing is taking a precaution and trying to wrap up the development before I reach a critical point where the burnout becomes too much to bear. Which is to say, sadly I do not intend to keep working on MKM for much longer than a year's span, as I'd much prefer (and feel pumped) to move on to my 3rd game project, one that hopefully I'll build it in such a way that I could, potentially, allow me to support it for longer.

Thank you for the kind words! I want to finish MKM's development this year for various reason (all related to each other in some way): 1) The codebase is now 5 years old and is becoming more spaghetti by the minute, which makes adding things ever more bothersome and creates more bugs. 2) The game already grew (scope creep) way more than its original intention, and as the creator I feel like I've reached the limit of what I can do with it, sans going back and refactoring the whole game, which I'm not going to do as that would be insane. 3) I'm really pumped about the idea of moving on to a new game project, but being "tied" by an still incomplete game slowly accumulates burnout which saps at my motivation and creativity to work on it. Eventually too much burnout leads closer and closer to abandonment of a project, so I'd rather at least wrap it up, put a bow tie on it and ship it asap. 4) While in the future, I could potentially see myself working 5+ years on some specific type of game project, one that lends itself to being eternally updated (roguelike?), I do think that working this many years on the same simple action 2D platformer is not ideal imo, so I'd like to move on to my 3rd game project which I would, possibly, plan it from the ground up to be a type of project where I can work on it for a longer time while keeping motivation high.

Thank you for the feedback. Indeed, the base idea for enemies who have more than 1 scene should be for them to cycle through each one in order, each time it grabs Maya. I'll take a look right now at the code that controls that cycle and see where it is failing, and I'll adjust and fix any bugs.

Mmm, seems the yearly transition was a bit rough for the both of us. Looks like we each had our own irl issues that could have been better. Here's to the both of us for the year getting much better than it started. And yeah, it's a little unfortunate to hear that you'll have to cut a bit more out than originally planned, but I totally understand wanting to have the full release done by when you planned to have it out. Just hope it doesn't get to a point where you have to rush the game to completion. That never works out for anyone, it seems. And hey, there's always the option of post-game DLC content if you really get an itch to add the stuff you wanted to. As for the scenes, the fairy ones were pretty nice. Was funny to see Maya get ganged up on by a bunch of them. And the swamp fairy one was pretty interesting too. Like the bat girl, but more intentional, haha. Really loved the vore/TF one with the damsels, but I suppose that was a given~ Update was still good today, despite setbacks. I'll still be here to support you, and I'm excited to see what'll be done leading up to the full release :3

Hang in there MBB, also got a bug I think... I can't get Blue Fairies to molest Maya, they just fly around her as she writhes on the ground, one flew right up to her and didn't do anything. NVM all my fetishes were turned off, not sure if that is a bug or if I did it and forgot...

Hope everything's alright! No one is demanding you rush this game to release. There's no pressure, and so long as Patreon is a thing there's nothing really being lost, is there? Unless you're just completely sick of working on it. Porn games don't exactly fly off shelves. I think many people would be happy to keep a sub indefinitely so long as the game was being continuously updated, actually, it might be preferable! Though maybe you just want to work on something new.

I speak for myself and probably a lot of people here when I say I'd rather have more content for MKM than a new game for the foreseeable future. Second is a suggestion for transformation scene with mush-mina lol

The Arena seems to be buggy, quite a few enemies don't do their respective animation that they are tied to. For example, on most enemies, you spawn the second defeat animation variation, and they'll end up playing the first defeat animation instead, for multiple times in a row before finally playing the second defeat animation. If a player wants to see a certain defeat animation, they have to currently, hope that it plays once they get defeated, and not 15 animations later. I just experienced this with the dark faery for example, (it's not the only enemy that does this by the way), I wanted to view the new defeat animation you created, and it took me 17 defeats in order to see it, despite me spawning the 3rd dark faery animation in the arena, multiple of them in-fact. Please do fix this for all the arena enemies that have this issue. I believe it is the grand majority that have this issue. You do great animations, and I'd enjoy not wasting time just to view them due to a possible bug. Bug report aside, keep up the great work. True fans will support this decision, I am one of them. A finished game is more important than an abandoned one.

No need to rush. You could easily finish in like February or so 2026 and be fine. As for the new ero animations, I like them a lot. Although I found it a bit weird how Maya get turned into 3 fairies instead of 2.
