Among the lightning flashes the dark and splintered figure of an abandoned fortress stands out. Without delay, they hurry.
When the first drops of violent rain begin to hammer, they find themselves crossing what appears to be an old cemetery, where brambles and roots have prevailed over the tombstones.
They reach a sturdy wooden door, they force it and enter. They listen for a moment, and they both think they hear a voice singing ... but it must have been the wind. Solaine cannot help but think that it is the night when the Veil thins, the night when the world of the Living and that of the Dead come together until they intertwine ...
