Other fans I’ve heard talk about it actually are more on y’all side as far as the song being pretty basic. But one thing I know about Abel is that he definitely doesn’t want people to be able to guess the themes of his albums before they drop, so not surprised this was the lead single. And like terrell said this is all apart of a new trilogy so ofc it sounds like the last album. The live version is 100% the better version y’all should listen to that too.

2024-09-15 13:14:51 +0000 UTCmy thoughts are that abel could change the way this song sounds for the album. blinding lights/heartless gave us what we could expect from the album but he didn’t give us clarity on how it fits in with the narrative. Take my breath was the same way but he went with the extended version plus a transition from HDIMYLM. I think he could use the live version that he did in Brazil and make a studio version for that and place it onto the album OR we just need to hear how it sounds on the album just like blinding lights.
