(after 14 years) Dancers on Rooftops is COMPLETE

Over the past months, I've been focusing on finishing my project 'Dancers on Rooftops'.
A personal photography art project that originated in 2008, kicked off in 2012-2013 but by 2017, was left aside and nearly died off in the archives. Come NFTs, it received a boosted revival in 2021-2022.
This is a journey, both my own and the dancers' I worked with. Something I started photographing in 2012 when I wanted to work with more dancers. Essentially I combined 3 things I loved; photography, dance and rooftops to create a template I could work with globally; wherever there's a rooftop, a dancer and a camera.
Coming back to photograph the project in 2021 after 14 years of working as an active professional photographer, it felt like I was creating new work with wiser more experienced eyes.
I've set up 20 new photo sessions with 25 dancers in 6 different countries from 2021-2022 (UK, Portugal, Greece, Finland, Mexico and Israel). And now, after 14 years in the making, it is done; 49 Dancers, 45 Sessions, 38 Rooftops, 9 Countries and 123 x 1/1 photographs - Dancers on Rooftops is finally complete!
TODAY, I want to exclusively share with you the new, mostly unpublished 74 images from Dancers on Rooftops!
'Dancers on Rooftops' offers a subtle yet enticing perspective on what it means to dance upon metaphorical and literal cityscapes. The concept of Home lies between our most basic need – shelter – and the enigmatic desire to animate space with movement, belonging and connection. Dance, in almost all cultures, is the ecstatic exploration of how one inhabits one’s own body and how that body inhabits space.
From London to the Middle East, Ben Hopper explores how bodies bring buildings to life, and vice versa, through the contrast between living, organic limbs and raw, exposed architecture. Hopper photographs with the awareness that beneath these rooftops lie houses, and within them people living their lives in countless different configurations.
There are so many stories behind each photograph. In the coming weeks, I will share much more details, stories, and words from the dancers themselves.

The collection is LIVE on OpenSea since Sep 2021 with #1-49. You can also find #1-49 on my website.
At the moment, the following are available at 0.3 ETH on Primary: 36, 34, 39, 40, 41, 43, 44, 46, 45 and 48. The rest you can buy in the Secondary (market).
In the link below you can find images of all of the pieces (123 total), existing ones (#1-49) and ones I’ll be adding to the collection in the near future (#50-123, shared in this post). Rough aim for a drop towards the end of July. Please keep the following link for your eyes only, most of the #50-123 pieces are still freshly unpublished: Google Drive. Sold minted pieces have ‘SOLD’ at the beginning of the file name. Unpublished reserved pieces have ‘RESERVED’ at the beginning.
All pieces will be priced at 0.3 ETH each besides #1, which will probably be auctioned later on.

What's next?
This project kept me from working on some of my "juicier" nudes that I know many of you came here for.
In the coming days, I will also share another new mini-series I worked on recently called '(not) Naked with Masks', and in the coming weeks, I will resume working on many many exciting new & old nudes and erotica. This place will be saucy again shortly 🙏
