Behind Jean and her desk was a grand and beautiful window, its curtains drawn aside. It was open to let the breeze in, and from behind the windowsill popped up a bardβs cap. Lisa blinked in mild surprise, and Jean turned around, smiling awkwardly as the cap was then followed by a tuft of cute black hair, and finally a pair of spellbinding green eyes.
βOh, we didnβt see you there, bard,β said Jean, as the new arrival tried to climb over the sill and jump into the office, only to slip and get stuck, his shapely legs straddling the ledge.
βOooowww!β whined Venti, wincing, while Lisa burst into an amused snort. βActing Grand Master, help me!β he called endearingly, posing like he was riding something. βMy crotch is stuck. And sore.β
βOh, Lord Barbatos,β Jean sighed in embarrassment on his behalf, stressing his true identity as the god of Mondstadt sarcastically. She stood up and grabbed him around the armpits, like a mother does an unruly child. He blinked innocently up at her as she lifted the deity she served over the ledge, and put him down next to her desk.
βYahoo!β
βYouβre hopeless,β sighed Jean, as Lisa chuckled.
βAh! Much better. Thank you. I overestimated my parkour talents,β declared Venti, adjusting his tights and brushing himself off. He glanced at Lisa, winking, and Lisa waved at him, blowing a kiss. He seemed pleased that she was amused by his antics. Venti didnβt bother hiding his true identity in front of her β Lisa was the most intelligent member of Jeanβs inner circle, so he just assumed sheβd figured him out long ago.
And besides, he was here to offer to do something. Something that would give away his true nature anyway.
