Goal
To create simple hand painted heads based off a low poly mesh I created.
This time, to record the painting process for all of the heads.
These don't need teeth, nor hair.

Notes
I worked on Head 13 and Head 11's stripes and bio.
Then I noticed that a few other heads needed some minor touch ups. Mostly in their stripes as well.

I worked on Head 13 with a repaint in Procreate from a screenshot.
Then I applied that repaint onto the 3D model and did more repainting in Blender.
I then moved onto Head 11 after I was done with Head 13.
After those two, I prepped them for Substance Painter and started working on stripes.
It lead me onto the next day.

So I created a non-mirrored uv map to make unique stripes/bio/or freckles (maybe scars or other things).
Once in substance painter, I painted the Stripes and Bio dots for all of these.

Another head I do not quite like but nonetheless, I worked on. This has less reasons I can pinpoint for not liking it, other than its not a design I like (mostly just the texture colors).
Head 14
Last Head i did paint overs with.
I have a few options after this.
Either continue and develop stripes and bio for everyone. Or stop here and edit the video time-lapses like i did before.
I am interested in the first.. we will see.

I cleaned up the texture and reduced some of the secularity within the texture that was in the paint overs.
I do prefer both the textures (and more into the painterly look) but for my purposes, i don't want to keep lots of the bright highlights in a texture when (the model) will probably be in a shaded/lit environment.
Maybe it will be XD im still thinking about it.. I need to create shaders for my needs.

So, after I did repaints of the heads I had in mind, I sent them to Blender and reprojected this image on the model.
I baked it down into a texture map to continue to repaint. They all have unique eyes that I need to also paint over but that is more easier than a head. So I wont be trying to bake this down.

So details.. I sent this head to substance painter to generate a quick light and multiplied it to the base texture to deepen the shadows rather than paint more. Then I started to paint over the head while there to blend in the generator and the skin. But it was still very flat, so, I took a front facing orthographic render and sent it to Procreate to do a paint over. I sent it back and baked down the projection and repainted over it till I was satisfied. The goal of these heads isn't' really to detail them, but to paint for fun. So that is why they tend to be so painterly/ or unfinished looking.

Progress on the variants of Navi heads. Which are still WIP. Not all started today, but every so often i would take some time to paint after other work/end of day.
