Naturalis v1.0 alpha 1 release
Added 2023-03-01 14:48:48 +0000 UTCHere we go people! In a nutshell, this first release includes a new version of BootyMagic that is very much approaching a level similar to TittyMagic in terms of feature completeness, major UI changes, and some fixes to TittyMagic as well.

For details on the actual changes to functionality, read on.
TittyMagic specific changes relative to TittyMagic v6.0 alpha 7
- fixed Futa support
- local distortion physics is automatically enabled/disabled when soft physics is enabled/disabled (if you don't want to use it, just uncheck before calibrating)
- moved soft physics toggles to main window
- renamed Physics Params tab to Physics and Morph Multipliers tab to Morphs
UI layout has been improved and texts updated (mainly in the main TittyMagic tab and in the physics tab). The main tab elements are better organized, and the physics parameter navigation buttons are expanded to fill the available space in the window.

Apart from that empty space in the main tab, it's pretty feng shui right now, I'd say. Gotta think of a good use for that space at some point!
Naturalis Settings UI
Settings that affect both plugins can be adjusted in the Naturalis.Settings script UI:

The Monitoring section is new, while the other ones are moved here from the TittyMagic UI.
The Check For Size Changes toggle is basically what "Auto-Update Mass" used to do, but it only puts calibration to pending instead of actually triggering it. When it comes to other plugins that adjust non-pose breast or glute morphs, it's okay if they just put calibration to pending since that won't affect scene playback. However if that annoys you, you can uncheck the toggle.
Apart from that, you generally don't need to touch any of the settings here, these are provided in case you need them for some specific scenario.
More plugin-wide settings could be added here later if I think of any that might be useful.
Disabling/enabling the Naturalis.Settings script does nothing.
BootyMagic specific changes relative to BootyMagic v1.0 alpha 3
Copied all implementations from TittyMagic:
- Soft physics parameter adjustment along a gradient (uses the same defaults as in TM). Instead of Areola and Nipple multipliers, there's a Center multiplier which affects soft joints at the center of the butt cheek.
- Local distortion physics (uses the same defaults as in TM)
- Visualization for the physics gradient and local distortion physics
- Gravity physics is configurable per parameter
- Calibration works the same way
- (Plus all other fixes and smaller changes that were implemented during TittyMagic 6 alpha development, where applicable)
Other:
- Gravity physics is implemented, the adjustments are pretty much the same as in TittyMagic. E.g. Up/Down Angle pulls glutes down when standing up, and pushes them up (relative to body) when upside down.
- Reduced hard collider friction to about 1/3 at (both when using adaptive friction and not).
- Halved the default hard collider base collision force.
- Fixed potential error when navigating to hard colliders window.
- Disabling soft physics on the glutes is now supported.
- Added basic directional morphing support when soft physics is disabled, it works similar to breast morphing on a futa character. Instead of relying on the soft joint positions, skin vertex positions at the center of each butt cheek are used to keep track of angles relative to the hip (used in up/down and sideways morphing) and of distance relative to the hip (used in depth morphing).
- Fix: prevent error if added to a male character
-----
That should about cover it. The above are just the functional/UI changes. A lot of work was involved in getting the plugin code bases merged and ensuring existing functionality still works. However there's still much duplicated code, and reducing that duplication is something that will probably slightly affect development times of new features for a while now, since I'll be doing that on the side. Thought I'd mention that!
Some other things to note about how things work now with Naturalis going forward:
- TittyMagic and BootyMagic are no longer separately versioned, instead Naturalis itself is versioned and starts with v1.0.
- Updates to TittyMagic and BootyMagic will only be released as part of Naturalis.
- When adding Naturalis to the person atom, you must choose which cslist to add - you can only add one. If you want to use both TittyMagic and BootyMagic, add Naturalis.cslist, otherwise add Naturalis_TittyMagic.cslist or Naturalis_BootyMagic.cslist. Generally, it's best to add the one containing both plugins, and just disable the one you don't want to use.
- When Naturalis.cslist is added to a male person atom, BootyMagic is still added but not actually used.
- Generally, you want all TittyMagic/BootyMagic instances in a scene to come from Naturalis, since the ones in Naturalis can only integrate with other instances that are also from Naturalis. This is mainly for the purpose of ensuring the Freeze checkbox gets unchecked when all instances are done calibrating.

Known issues
- Glute Softness, Glute Quickness and Glute Mass Offset sliders aren't yet set up to affect most of the physics etc. correctly. It's best to keep them at default values for now. However, all of the physics parameters can be manually tweaked in the Physics tab.
- Glute Mass is not yet automatically calculated from butt size (even though adjusting butt size puts calibration to pending).
- Switching to/from Female Dummy skin doesn't update the friction UI elements in Skin Materials 2 correctly
- Preventing switching between male/female skins while the plugin is active is broken
-----
For the next release, I will focus on the default physics settings and how everything (except hard colliders, that'll be looked into later) adjusts with the softness, quickness and mass values in both TittyMagic and BootyMagic. That will probably involve quite a lot of work but not that much programming, should be easy but pretty time consuming. The time I spend on that means everyone doesn't need to manually adjust everything for themselves, and everyone gets the settings that (in my view) are ideal out of the box.
Once that's done (and any known issues are fixed), it's time to get the release out to early access! For that, I will produce a little bit of marketing material. While that's something I enjoy and it's necessary to advertise the release to new and returning patrons, it's also time away from development so I'll try to be efficient with that.
Thanks. I hope you like the new release. Any feedback is appreciated (especially if something breaks)!

2023-03-03 13:08:34 +0000 UTCHi, it shouldn't calibrate when loading a pose... not sure why it does that. I'll investigate! The auto-calibration toggle isn't needed since there is no auto-calibration anymore except when the plugin is first loaded, and when exiting the plugin UI and calibration is pending. The latter I could maybe provide an option to disable, but it doesn't seem important. Clothing related stuff is on the to-do list, but I can't give you any estimate on when. I think improving the morphs is more important and has also been talked about for much longer, so that'll come first.

2023-03-02 20:04:10 +0000 UTCi don't remember when the option went missing. but we need the checkbox back to disable auto-calibration. since a few versions it always calibrates when loading a pose. it's really annoying and not necessary edit: this only happens when you use pose in the control tab. also: didn't you mentioned a while ago that clothes will finally have any impact. when can we expect any development in this direction?
