Somehow messed up and deleted a comment instead of editing it but anyway some of the pacing shifts are due to this show originally airing on US Cable TV: commercial breaks. It's been 15 years or so since I've had cable so the concept is pretty ancient history, but it's funny when you can tell a build up to a commercial break in a show. Sometimes it throws the pacing for a loop. Sometimes it's just editing choices. Anyway yeah definitely one of the stand-out episodes of the show but far far far from the only one IMO.

2026-01-03 11:48:06 +0000 UTCOH that was awesome, it was awful! Mixed feelings about the characters and the show! Most people get annoyed with the cliffhanger endings and you are pissed that they leave one story line for another. Bumpy ride ahead but you will see how necessary those jumps are and just trust the writers. The authors of the Expanse Novels (all 9 of them and several novellas as well) were writers on the show so the final product is just as good as the novels, and those are excellent! This episode is a fan favorite. The scene on the gangway to the Tachi was Holden putting himself into a ball, kicking Naomi away and using the opposite force to propel himself back to the gangway and turn on his mag boots. by attaching a line to her suit, he was then able to save her life at the same time. It is a great scene in the books and I was very excited to see how they recreated that here.
