I had been wanting to change the tone on one of my pieces for a while now, go with a darker mood without exactly turning the theme of the piece darker.
Been a while since I don’t use the negative space at this extent, so you could say this is a direct call back to one of my favorite old pieces: a minimalist Wanda using both the black and white to the maximum possible, creating background, middle ground and foreground all at once.
