Cornelia is also the Grand Marshal of the Britannian Military, so while I'm sure there's some fear towards her among the subordinates but its no more than what most would have towards a distinguished military leader i.e. Napoleon, Caesar, Scipio Africanus throughout history. I would imagine that Cornelia's command would be one of the best to be placed under in the Empire due to those factors. Its been mentioned before but all Britannain Knightmare pilots are at least knights and therefore nobility, mostly unlanded nobility but still nobility nonetheless which plays a factor in how loyal they are to someone that is known as a competent commander and someone who seems to reward skill over blood among Britannians.

The scene you go back on was her being mad at the people in charge at the time (Britanian politicians) failing to capture zero despite zero having no defenses. In actual combat she uses her own unit which she fights alongside most of the time all consisting of britanian soldiers
