An account by one of the camp survivors. He said that those prisoners who socialised, went to group events or played music were significantly more likely to survive. You could even tell when someone would die soon from their attitude. E.g. you could trade cigarettes for extra meal rations and whenever you saw someone smoking, you'd know they'll be dead soon.
