Though he was mentioned in one flash, making an onknown the big bad of this when Lavenus was such a focus is still jarring. Also, no, we did not see Klein survive death before. We saw him inhabiting a body of a recently killed, the process seemingly healing that body. So it felt more like "see, shock, he is DEAD! Nah, he is not, he gets up again because he is the mc". Like, it is feasible, but the obvious "shock factor" they put at the center of that story part was a bit weird to me.

2025-09-16 14:32:45 +0000 UTCInce Zangwill was the cardinal who was mentioned in an earlier episode who was wanted after having gone half-crazy during a failed ritual and escaped from chanis gate with the quill, so he is not just randomly introduced here. if you remember the picture Dunn showed Klein some episodes ago, that was him. also just saying, this isn't the first time Klein has survived death, I mean the first thing we see in the show is him getting up after blowing his brains out
