I'm surprised you missed the sacred geometry on-screen at 42:02. I know it's not real science but is a part of science history just kinda cool. As for your questions about the AT field like it's said in the show and EoE the AT field is an absolute territory that separates one's soul from others. So you need another soul to defeat it, EVAs amplify the field helping to project it into the physical world. The field can manifest anywhere and can be spread across a wide area, the pilots emotion brings it out. 2025-07-15 23:03:20 +0000 UTCWhy does the angel drill towards Nerv HQ? I'm reminded of a dentist's drill and extraction. They are drilling with the eventual goal of extracting something. "Laser-ing down" could make extraction impossible, or damage what they hope to extract. Never thought about this before now.
