2025-04-12 08:40:05 +0000 UTCI like your interpretation with Tokyo 3 shutdown and Shinji's "shutdown" when father is not near to help him move forward. I would continue with this idea - in this situation he had Asuka and Rei close to him and maybe they were example for him to not stop. Only difference is that Rei and Asuka are still children like him and deal with own problems, not stable. I think in society it always happens when parents are failing their children in moments they actually needed.
