I’m also paying attention to the underwear on the background. I was wondering in the past what was the meaning of that 😂 but I’ve never did deep dive into this story’s symbolism or meaning so it’s very interesting to watch you. I like your interpretation of all of this

The way it builds up symbolism and the way it is directed with regards to its themes just works so well. The way the characters act and live feels so possible and realistic even if absurd. Love the journey, love the characters, love the show, especially because of how rewarding thinking about the mysteries and symbolism and interpreting it from my point of view feels. The show really does know exactly what it wants to portrait and does it well. I am so excited for this series!

Similar to Eva, it begins with comfortable tropes from popular fiction and gradually evolves into something deeper and richer. It also frames its story entirely around time dilation, which may be of interest to you.

She is an english teacher in america that watched evangelion, she isn't very big but she reminds me of you alot in how she seriously digs into everything... I'm a life long eva fan, I watched it back in the day when I was 15 and it sorta changed my life. So throughout my life I have studied it doing my best to understand why it got to me... As a person with a million thoughts on eva, I have to say you two have the most interesting perspectives and insight about eva around... Anyway sorry for the rambling love the channel man

It's pretty commonly accepted amongst fans that all these kinds of things are ways of conveying Shinji's mindset to the viewer. The series at its core is a coming-of-age story, and sex and love are major themes in the narrative, so it all fits perfectly. Anyway, loved the reaction! Happy you're liking the series!
