Late Chapter Today - But It Will Still Come Out Today
Added 2021-05-17 19:44:39 +0000 UTC...Did you think I was joking? Anyway, sorry for the kind-of delay. Are these sorts of posts annoying, or helpful?

One message does not fit in the definition of "spamming" as a verb.

2021-05-18 07:27:12 +0000 UTCAnnoying, very much so, because I get emails for them and rely on emails to read the actual stories. I've canceled other Patreon subscriptions for authors I've liked because the author insisted on doing this. My recommendation is that you update your main Patreon text or status with delays like these, if you want to make sure curious readers have some way to find out what's going on, without spamming inboxes.

2021-05-18 00:39:33 +0000 UTCImo, if you miss a chapter any kind of update message is nice to know what is going o. If the chapter is just late by a few hours I don't really care for an extra post. Just address it when you do post the chapter. That said, to much communication is rarely an issue.

2021-05-17 22:29:31 +0000 UTCi'm having to wait a month to get a chapter from some people i'm subbed to on patreon, getting a chapter every 3ish days is a blessing

2021-05-17 22:22:07 +0000 UTCCommunication is better than no communication. Love the story, but take your time.

2021-05-17 22:06:08 +0000 UTCThese are helpful, but also it's fine if you miss or are late with an occasional update here or there. As long as you don't go silent for weeks or something, and we know how you're doing :). Don't want you to feel obligated or get burnt out prioritizing the schedule over the story!

2021-05-17 20:20:57 +0000 UTCI say more communication is always better, ngl I recently got annoyed at another author for routinely missing their set schedule by days with no notice ๐ . Personally Iโm fine with things like that or worse as long as they let their fans know ๐

2021-05-17 20:02:06 +0000 UTCWould be helpful, but I don't know what time zone you're in and therefore also don't know when "today" is ๐ My own today has only 2 hours left

2021-05-17 19:54:47 +0000 UTCWhat Ani-mam said, if nothing else it lets us know you, the author, are alive and well and just dual wielding keyboards and rl conserns a bit at the moment but are still okay-ish and working on it. It's all good!

2021-05-17 19:48:48 +0000 UTCI like these kinds of posts. I've had enough authors silently go on indefinite hiatus that I have a mini panic attack when stories I like miss their schedule without warning.

2021-05-17 19:46:48 +0000 UTCI can't imagine anyone being annoyed by them. Either you are thankful for the update or you're like me and barely know the schedule and just smile when you get a chapter
