New Solitude Beta - with new Device "The Hoister"

Do you know what they say about Germans? Apparently we have a tendency to over-engineer things. So in a spurt of caffeine fueled inspiration, I channeled my inner engineer  and pieced together the new Device you can see in the Images above. Creatively named "The Hoister", it functions exactly as you would expect.
Unfortunately though, writing the scripts for it and testing took a lot of time. And Because my original time estimate assumed that I simply use the existing Gallows from Deadly furnitures here, The entire release took a lot longer than planned. (Another hallmark of German projects...)

This also means that this Release should be considered more of an Alpha, as a key component, the actual scenes are still missing. Sorry about that, but building the surrounding systems and the new Hoister did pose some unique challenges as well. I will finish the Scenes as soon as I can, but lets get over the Things that ARE finished.

1. The Vanilla solitude opening Scene

Amazingly, the entire mod works without touching a single vanilla record and has construction/deconstruction routines for its used devices. As a result The Roggvir Scene is completely unaffected and plays out as normal when you first enter the city. After the scene is finished and you leave the area, the mod activates itself and its features and devices can be used.
As a quality of life option, I added a toggle to the MCM which can be used to skip the vanilla scene. This is perfectly safe to use and does not mess with any other vanilla quests and behaviours.


2. Detention system

In order to provide participants for any scenes on the plaza, there are two options. The fist and one is to spawn in Generic NPC´s. They are taken from vanilla leveled lists and are therefore affected by visual modification mods you have installed. There is also an option to spawn in duplicates of named NPC´s. These might be preferable as there are better visual overhauls for them available, and because they use separate actorbases, they are also perfectly save to use.
You can use either option or a mix of named and Generic NPC´s. There are filter options in the MCM available.

If you are feeling a bit more gutsy, you can also enable Detention for Real NPC´s.
This currently doesn't work automatically, but can be tested with the testing options under the MCM´s debug Tab.


Whenever one of your friends got apprehended by the Solitude Guards in your absence, you will get a notification by the courier:

Those Letters will contain the actual names of the Affected Followers, so you will immediately know if its worth making the Detour to Solitude to save them.
If you DO decide to save them, you will find them at the solitude Plaza. In a later version there will be a dedicated guard with Dialogue options to free them, but for now they can only be freed with the MCM´s debug section again (see image further above)


3. Multiple Devices

To keep it interesting, we have multiple Devices available for the Solitude Plaza. Later on they will cycle automatically, but they can also be switched out manually with the MCM:

And while the Scenes are not available yet, the Devices themselves work as normal.
Block and Wayrest are identical to the spawnable ones, and the Hoister interacted with directly or via its winch on the Backside (you first need to activate it directly and after an occupant has been found, stages can be cycled through with the winch).
It currently wont kill the player, only NPC´s. NPC persistence is provided.

4. Audience

By popular request, future Scenes will have onlookers. And while the Scenes themselves are not yet ready, You can already summon crowds via this little button:

Using this will gather a crowd of available City residents to gawk at the Plaza.
It also will summon Captain Aldis, Ahtar the Executioner, and a random Guard to the plaza itself.
With that you can already simulate events and get some nice screenshots if you want to.


Installation:
Replace previous mod version or overwrite.
You could in theory get away with using this on an existing save even if you already have 1.2 installed, but if you install this now, you will need a new save for subsequent version updates
(Trust me, I´m an Enjinir). When In doubt, always use a new save.

Don´t forget to run Fnis after installation.

As mentioned, Im gonna do double time to get The actual scenes done ASAP, but the scope of existing features kinda self-inflated a bit while I was working on it and took up more time.
