No one saw Edelgard after that, people assumed she fell victim to some plot of taking over the power in her kingdom. Historians still argue that eating Edel might have saved a lot of lives, but it slowed down the process of unifying the continent. After all Hilda never spoke about her whereabouts even tho they became inseparable. Every time Edel was spoken about, Hilda's stomach growled as a reminder of her deed, or maybe it reminded her of the princess's exquisite taste.
