Entirely unironically... at a family wedding where one of my married-in uncles was involved (a super goofy and fun man), there was a brief moment where there was a mention of a teenager who had committed suicide many years prior. Trying to make light of the entirely silent situation, my uncle literally asked, "Who died?" He was genuinely just asking a question that was sort of common at the time for comedic purposes, and he had no idea how literal it was. That was a really "cringe" moment that I still somehow look back on fondly.
