Yes! Finally got you guys to hear a Lailas Wisdom track. Lailas Wisdom came out in 2017 a few months after DAMN. I listened to it remembering she featured on TPAB and it is one of my favorite rap albums ever now, hope you guys cover it in the future as I remember you were looking for great albums from female rappers

They’re both from LA and they’re both crips but different gang sets which is also why they have similar slang. They sound similar because they came up around the same time and Nip is from Crenshaw while Vince is from Long Beach so they were only 23-26 miles away from each other and culture in big cities of course spreads far. Really hope you guys check out Victory Lap by Nipsey, it’s arguably his best and most polished project.

2025-09-11 23:32:10 +0000 UTCWow, you guys pulled one of my picks first spin :) Happy to see you both enjoy the Twigs song, I wasn’t sure if you were familiar at all. The album that’s from is her best IMO, really showcases her range. There’s a few songs on there that go heavier on the glitchier, noisier end but in general she’s much more accessible than I think people assume based on her visual aesthetics. She’s a weirdo for sure but a very poppy one.
