November Succubus Senki Progress Report + Next Side Translation! (Hagokoro by Excess M)

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the lack of updates in the past two weeks. University really took it out of me and I'm only just getting my footing back.

I'm pleased to say that the first side quest of Succubus Senki, the succubus infirmary quest has now been fully translated. The next side quest that will be translated is the Bandit Trouble quest, which are both unlocked and can be played after beating chapter 4 of the game (The church).

Iroji has been quite busy with his new Succubus Duel game and book anthology, so from now on, the side quests will be updated to the game in pairs. So the plan is to finish translating the next side quest chapter upon which the game will be updated to Dlsite with both side quest translations.
I estimate the translation of the next side quest will be done by late November this month, upon which Iroji will update the game to dlsite with both side quest translations added.

Upcoming Side Translation info: Hagokoro...! (Excess-M) 

Now, with great excitement, I want to talk about the next side translation I've been working on. Every so often I translate other things to prevent me from burning out on Succubus Senki, and I'm really excited about this one.

If the you haven't heard of Excess M, they make really good femdom action games. Recently they released a new demo for their new game: Hagokoro.

The story of Hagokoro seems to be about an age-regressed Shinobi of legend who wants to overturn the supremacy of "blessed" super natural woman. However, only woman can be "blessed", and if they do, they develop super strength and stamina, become super sexy, and also become corrupted and slightly evil-- The increased sexiness being very bad for our Shinobi warrior, as his age regression has given him a fatal weakness for the female body...

Now while Excess-M makes great games, they don't have enough money to actually get a proper translation for their game, meaning that any hope of getting the game translated is most likely zero without the help of a dedicated fan translation.

However, Excess-M has added some support in the game which makes the translating the game relatively straight forward. Translating/Patching the game is literally as simply as chucking a couple of txt files in a folder!
So, I contacted him by email and  not only did he give me the original Japanese script to translate, he also added a quick English <-> Japanese switch to make sudo-real time translating possible.
Suffice to say, being able to talk with Excess-M themselves was a huge honor for me, and getting extra translation tools on top of it too was unbelievable!

Now keep in mind the demo already has a machine translation, but I'm going to attempt a manual translation of Excess M's demo, which should not only be much less convoluted and weird, but should also make sense and convey the original tone of the original Japanese script.

I'm around half way through translating the demo, and the story and h-content seems really solid. Even more so that of Excess M's previous games, so I think it's definitely worthy of a translation so far.

And naturally being a side translation, for those that want to try the demo translation of Hagokoro early, I'm going to release a beta translation of the demo for my supporters on patron, which should be about a couple of days after this announcement. Then, later once it's all done, I'll hand it over to Excess M to release publicly.


Being able to provide English translations to allow people to enjoy great games is something I'm really thankful for, so thank you all for supporting me and my translation efforts, it really means a lot.
After Succubus Senki is translated I'm not sure if I'll continue translating or not. But depending on how much support I get, and if enough people want to see me translate more things, I might consider translating another game in the future. We'll have to see.
