important PSA pls read

(this does not apply if you subscribed through patreon, only the apple app store after november 2024)

hey guys. we just wanted to make a post to let you know that if you subscribe to patreon through the iOS app store, you will be charged 30% more solely because of apple’s processing fees (unless you subscribed before november 2024). for example, tier 2 usually costs $5 USD/month, but it costs $7.50 through the app. the extra 30% goes straight to apple, and you pay more for the same amount of content.

don’t worry if you want to use the app. as far as we understand, you can subscribe through the patreon website, pay the normal price, then sign in on the app. you don’t pay more to use the app itself, it’s literally just for the payment being processed through the app store.

if you already subscribed through the app store, you are not now destined to pay 30% more forever. as far as we know, you can cancel your subscription there, then subscribe through the website instead. we wrote it in the tier descriptions when they implemented the changes but we wanted to make a post here in case anyone didn’t notice. we don't want you to pay more when you don't have to lol.
