2025-09-21 10:24:00 +0000 UTCKendrick Lamar is an artist & storyteller. Judging the performance harshly based off what you wanted the setlist to be is just a bad criticism. The performamce itself was still great. It wasnt just to promote his new album, but the whole point of the performance was not doing the run of the mill greatest hits compilation that everyone else does. He used the songs he felt fit the story he was telling.

Something I found interesting, Introduction was a reference back to xxxtentacions cypher, introduction of the first song is saying helping hand (referring back to xxx helping hand charity, which then drake goes to Miami (x’s home state) and makes gods plan to troll x) peekaboo’s x set is played on the 30 yard line (3x), 3 set of dancers, 3 of drakes exes. And last but not least Kendrick’s silent hill is connected to peekaboo calls out drake when drakes tour assassination vacation came out after a year of x’s death and the cover art shows Miami palm trees in the crosshairs

2025-02-11 20:44:18 +0000 UTCthat beat that played before and after the show (the sort of male opera singer) is a beat by ghais guevara which is so damn cool. hes an amazing underground rapper with only 90k monthly listeners. was so damn cool hearing one of his beats on the biggest stage in the world. (the song its from is “the old guard is dead” if anyones curious)

Great video guys, it was such a great storytelling performance staying in the present with his music and performing his new stuff.

Idk of you saw the vids of like certain sections where there were people of who just didn't bring any energy and just sitting in silence. But ig that is expected with the people who have the money to buy insanely high priced tickets.

However, I didn’t like his setlist at all, which kind of ruined his performance for me. where is bitch don’t kill my vibe, alright, swimming pools, good kid mad city and etc. He didn’t play his classics and I understand him trying to promote his new albums and songs but my god what a missed opportunity!
