Saturday Update!

Hello again folks, and well done getting to another Saturday!

It was a bit of a rough week for me and I didn't get as much done as I would have liked, but that's kind of par for the course when it comes to me and scripting.

I lost a bunch of time/energy to internet and vet appointments 😩 But at least now I'm switched from copper to fibre and Willow's getting checked thoroughly for anything that might be causing her frequent barfing [ I've already gotten it slowed down a lot with my own strategies but I want to be really sure she doesn't have any serious underlying issues ]. She'll need to go in one more time in a month since her white blood cells were a bit elevated this time [ to check on them again and get the last two tests done ].

Canada Post remains on rotating strike, so I'm keeping the store closed [ sorry! ] Alberta is actually a total shitshow right now 🤦‍♀️😑 People's kids havent been in school in weeks because the teachers are on strike too and it's almost impossible to get vaccines cuz they fucked that up too [ I managed to book my flu/covid shot but they're probably gonna charge me $100... ] We might be getting a general strike soon. Who knows?

Trying to be creative sometimes with it all is hard. But I think it's a good thing too. When I manage to get into it, it's a nice distraction.

I'm struggling right now but struggling isn't the worst thing to be doing.

Anyway, here's what I've managed to write so far:

I feel like my overall concept for the game has really solidified too. I know pretty clearly what I want the finished product to be like. The only issue is that it's gonna take a shitload of work LMAO but what else is new eh? I just keep walking forward.

It'll be a challenge too, getting into new territory a bit with my writing style. That was always the point though, to challenge myself.

Speaking of the script, I've replaced the little silhouette avatars on the 'Script' page so Lawrence is represented properly [ Ashe got one too but I haven't written any Ashe lines yet ]

Next week I plan to build the death screen and River system. I've already hit deaths in the script and they need to start going somewhere. I don't think it should be TOO hard since I'll be recycling a lot of code and assets from Strade's death screen, and the River is no big deal code/script wise [ it will be challenging once I get to visuals but that's future gato's problem ]

I think that's about all I got! It's kind of a short update this week, sorry!

I'll try and rest up well over the weekend and get back in the saddle properly.
