[Marvel : Spoiling Spider-man] Chapter 241 - 245
Added 2025-03-18 01:00:02 +0000 UTCChapter 241: Airport Battle 4
[The two sides stood in confrontation. Sam turned to Captain America and asked, "Captain! What should we do?"]
["Fight!" With that single word, Captain America charged forward without hesitation.]
[Natasha Romanoff cracked her neck and smirked. "That works for me!"]
[The rest followed suit, stepping forward as Captain America picked up speed, breaking into a jog.]
["Uh, guys? They're not stopping!" Spider-Man's voice wavered with a hint of panic.]
["Neither will we," Tony Stark responded, his gaze fixed ahead with determination.]
[As both sides surged forward, Sam spread his wings, taking to the sky with Wanda Maximoff in tow.]
George watched intently as the heroes clashed, his expression unreadable. He then glanced at the Second Generation Spider-Man standing beside him. These people were all heroes—beings similar to them.
"I just hope no one dies. They're all Earth's protectors. Losing any of them would be a tragedy."
"Agreed," Second Gen Spider-Man nodded. "They've clearly been through a lot together. Though... I still don’t fully understand why Tony Stark's decision to sign the Accords escalated into this all-out battle."
Even though they weren’t from this universe, he had pieced together bits of their relationships from the broadcast. Still, the situation remained a tangled mess.
Many questions lingered, but for now, all they could do was watch.
[A chaotic melee erupted in an instant. Tony Stark charged straight at Captain America, throwing a punch. Meanwhile, Sam and War Machine engaged in aerial combat on the other side.]
[Black Panther immediately locked onto Bucky Barnes, while Scott Lang expertly evaded Spider-Man's webbing, using his ability to shrink and enlarge at will as he faced off against Natasha.]
[Bucky delivered a powerful punch, knocking Black Panther back. Meanwhile, Captain America and Iron Man engaged in close-quarters combat. With a swift strike of his shield, Cap sent Tony stumbling backward, giving Clint Barton an opening to fire an explosive arrow at Iron Man’s shoulder, blasting him away.]
[Natasha, seizing the moment, managed to knock Scott Lang to the ground. Meanwhile, Spider-Man swung overhead but barely avoided being hit by a flying truck.]
[Using his impeccable agility and balance, Spider-Man dodged the vehicles Wanda hurled his way, while Barton provided cover beside her.]
[Black Panther rolled to create distance, but Bucky was relentless, chasing after him and delivering a brutal punch that sent T’Challa sprawling. However, the King of Wakanda was quick to recover, flipping back onto his feet.]
[At some point, Natasha and Barton found themselves fighting each other. Natasha wielded her batons, while Barton held his bow in a defensive stance—their battle evenly matched.]
[Barton exposed a deliberate opening, then used it to his advantage, managing to pin Natasha to the ground with his bow pressed against her throat.]
[Lying there, using her baton to keep the bow at bay, Natasha smirked. "Still friends?"]
[Barton chuckled. "Depends on how hard you hit."]
[Before he could react, Natasha locked his wrist between her legs and flipped him over, kicking him away before he could recover.]
[Her attack, however, never landed. At the last second, Wanda intervened. Red energy flickered around Natasha’s ankles, and her expression shifted.]
[From a distance, Wanda flicked her wrist, sending Natasha hurtling into a shipping container. The impact was brutal enough to make her cry out in pain.]
[Barton stood up and met Wanda's gaze. "You weren’t serious," she remarked.]
Natasha, who was watching from the audience, tilted her head slightly. "Oof. That looks painful." Normally, she wasn't one to scream out in pain, but the impact looked rough.
Coulson gave a small smile but remained silent. Seeing as he wasn’t on the battlefield, he took solace in the fact that he hadn't been forced to pick a side in this civil war.
[Meanwhile, Bucky and Black Panther were still locked in combat. Bucky used his metal arm to choke T’Challa, but the Wakandan King countered by grabbing his throat in return.]
[Yet, Black Panther had the upper hand. With sheer force, he yanked Bucky back and drove a knee into his stomach.]
[Bucky let out a strangled gasp and hurriedly explained, "I didn’t kill your father!"]
["Then why did you run?" T’Challa’s voice was cold, his patience for explanations long gone. He pried Bucky’s metal arm apart with raw strength.]
[Bucky retaliated with a punch, but Black Panther caught his fist effortlessly. Without missing a beat, T’Challa twisted his arm and hurled him to the ground.]
[Black Panther pressed down, threatening to finish the fight, but before he could strike, Wanda intervened. Red energy restrained T’Challa’s limbs before he could land a killing blow.]
[As soon as T’Challa reacted, Wanda flung him backward into a corridor, slamming him through it.]
[Just then, Spider-Man swung into the scene, but Captain America hurled his shield, severing the webbing mid-air.]
[Spider-Man plummeted, landing on the ground with a slide. As he looked up, he watched Cap’s shield return to his hand like a boomerang.]
["That thing does not obey the laws of physics at all!" Spider-Man grumbled.]
["Kid, there's a lot you don't understand," Captain America replied calmly.]
["Mr. Stark said you’d say that!" Without hesitation, Spider-Man fired webbing at Captain America's shield, but Cap expertly blocked it.]
[However, Spider-Man’s other hand was faster. He shot a second web at Cap’s leg, pulling hard. Captain America lost his balance and toppled forward.]
[Seizing the opportunity, Spider-Man yanked again and kicked Cap square in the face, sending him flying into a car. His shield clattered to the ground.]
[Cheering, Spider-Man called out, "Mr. Stark also said to go for your legs!"]
[Cap scrambled to his feet and sprinted toward his Vibranium shield, but Spider-Man was faster, ensnaring his hands with webbing.]
[A tense struggle ensued, but Captain America, experienced as he was, quickly adapted. He turned and redirected Spider-Man’s momentum, shifting his weight at the last moment to render the younger hero's strength useless.]
[With precise movement, Captain America used centrifugal force to spin Spider-Man around and hurl him into the distance.]
["Aghhh!" Spider-Man yelped as he soared through the air.]
Watching from the audience, First Gen Spider-Man sighed. "Yeah… he’s still a little inexperienced."
"Well, he is young," First Gen Gwen pointed out with a smile. "Honestly, he’s doing pretty well for his age. Remember how the Green Goblin kicked your ass in the screen before?"
"That—!" First Gen Spider-Man coughed, crossing his arms. "That was different! I wasn’t taking him seriously!"
Gwen chuckled. "Sure, sure."
Unfazed, First Gen Spider-Man clenched his fist and smirked. He had come a long way. He was stronger now—more skilled. And the fight unfolding before them? It was far from over.
Chapter 242: Airport Battle 5
[The battle on the ground raged fiercely, but the aerial combat was just as intense.]
[Sam dodged Tony's relentless attacks, his movements growing more strained as exhaustion set in. Realizing he couldn’t keep this up for long, he called for backup.]
[“Clint, can you help me shake him off?”]
[At that moment, Barton had already drawn his bow, aiming calmly. "Are you holding on tight?" he asked.]
[“Yeah! I’ve got a firm grip!” Scott, now miniaturized, squatted on the arrow's shaft. He then lay down, clutching the joint tightly.]
[“I’m ready! Archer! Let’s go!” As soon as Scott gave the signal, Barton released the arrow.]
[Just as Tony prepared to intercept it, the arrow suddenly split into multiple fragments, scattering behind him in various directions.]
[Tony, unwilling to take any risks, immediately turned around. With Friday’s assistance, he swiftly targeted and shot down most of the incoming projectiles.]
[However, hidden among them, Scott used the resulting shockwave to propel himself forward. He successfully infiltrated Tony's armor through a joint in the arm.]
“Oh, this is bad,” Tony muttered, his expression darkening. While he had considered vulnerabilities after seeing Marco turn into sand and Max transform into electricity, the idea of an opponent physically infiltrating his suit unsettled him. If his armor failed, he would be nothing more than an ordinary man.
"Tony, we need a solution," Banner's voice crackled through the comms as he hovered nearby in his own suit.
"Yeah, no kidding. But armor joints will always have gaps—I’ll have to figure out a fix when we get back."
For now, Tony had bigger concerns. He shifted his focus toward Wanda and Pietro. Meanwhile, Baron Strucker, unaware that Tony and his team had already tracked the siblings’ general location, was making his own moves to capture them first.
[The young Spider-Man, freshly thrown aside, quickly got back on his feet as if nothing had happened. He shot a web toward Captain America, who instinctively raised his shield to block it.]
[Reacting quickly, Cap grabbed the webbing and yanked hard, catching Spider-Man off guard. With a swift motion, he slammed his shield into the teen’s face, sending him tumbling to the ground.]
[Having been bested twice in quick succession, Spider-Man adjusted his stance, leaping onto the top of the airport’s jet bridge to regain some distance.]
[Captain America eyed him and asked, “Did Stark tell you anything else?”]
[“You think you're right, but that just makes you more dangerous!” Spider-Man shot back.]
[Without missing a beat, he performed a backflip, launching himself off the bridge. Using centrifugal force, he shot out a web and swung toward Captain America, aiming a powerful kick.]
[However, Cap dodged the attack effortlessly. Anticipating Spider-Man’s next move, he executed a precise back kick, sending the young hero flying once again.]
[Spider-Man crashed into the bridge’s support beams before landing hard on the ground.]
["He's right," Captain America remarked before hurling his shield at the structure. The weakened supports gave way, sending the bridge toppling directly toward Spider-Man.]
[Reacting instantly, Spider-Man raised both hands to catch the falling structure. His arms trembled under the weight as he struggled to hold it up.]
[Cap retrieved his shield, nodding approvingly. “You’ve got guts, kid. Where are you from?”]
[Through gritted teeth, Spider-Man managed to reply, "Queens!"]
[Captain America smirked. “Brooklyn.” With that, he turned and sprinted off, leaving Spider-Man to his predicament as the bridge continued its slow descent.]
"He's still too young," the 1st Gen Spider-Man mused, shaking his head. "Lacks experience, and he talks too much during fights—gives opponents too many openings."
He knew that Spider-Man's strength would grow with time, but if he didn’t break his habit of chatting mid-battle, he would constantly put himself in danger. The old saying was true: villains die because they talk too much.
If Spider-Man had used his full strength, he could have overpowered Sam, the Winter Soldier, and even Captain America. A well-placed kick to Cap’s face, using a fraction of his real power, would have been enough to knock him unconscious. But he held back, unwilling to hurt his allies. Because of this, he ended up getting beaten.
Moreover, Spider-Man barely utilized his spider-sense. 1st Gen Spider-Man could see several moments where he should have dodged but didn’t. It was only when Bucky hurled an object at him that his instincts finally kicked in.
Meanwhile, 2nd Gen Spider-Man watched the fight with a complicated expression. There were so many mistakes he didn’t even know where to start criticizing.
Why was Spider-Man struggling against Captain America?
Shouldn’t he be way more agile? Why did he look so stiff, like he was just rushing in blindly?
Watching Cap beat Spider-Man twice in a row made 2nd Gen Peter sigh. Hopefully, the kid would learn from this experience.
[Elsewhere, Barton took aim and fired an arrow at Tony from a concealed position. Tony, detecting the attack, quickly moved to counter—only to find his palm repulsor suddenly malfunctioning.]
["Friday?" Tony asked, puzzled as he glanced at his unresponsive hand.]
[“Some systems have gone offline,” Friday reported.]
[“What?!” Tony frowned, scanning the interface, unable to understand the sudden failure.]
["Might need to send it back to the factory for repairs!" Scott quipped from inside the suit.]
[Startled by the unfamiliar voice, Tony’s face twitched. "Who the hell is talking?"]
[“Your conscience! We haven't chatted in a while,” Scott continued playfully while yanking at the suit's wiring.]
["Friday?" Tony called again, realizing the intruder was causing havoc inside his armor.]
[“Activating fire suppression system,” Friday responded immediately.]
[Before Scott could react, a blast of fire-extinguishing gas surged toward him.]
["Oh, crap!" Scott dropped the wire and bolted. "Oh no, no, no!"]
[Despite his best efforts, he was engulfed by the gas and forcibly ejected from the armor, plummeting toward the ground.]
[Meanwhile, Tony—momentarily distracted by the internal sabotage—hovered in midair, unaware that Barton had lined up another shot. The arrow struck him squarely, not causing major damage but sending him staggering back.]
Watching the scene unfold, Tony’s brow furrowed in deep thought. He needed a way to counteract this vulnerability. At the same time, something else nagged at him—why was the AI in his suit Friday and not J.A.R.V.I.S.?
J.A.R.V.I.S. meant everything to him. He wouldn't replace him without a reason.
Something must have happened.
What had gone wrong in the future?
Chapter 243: Airport Battle 6
[Captain America and the Winter Soldier regrouped. Bucky turned to Steve and said, "We have to go! That guy should be in Siberia by now!"]
[Hearing this, Captain America looked up at the sky, knowing that escaping wouldn’t be easy. "We need to draw away all the airborne threats. I'll handle Vision—you get to the plane!"]
[Sam, circling above, interrupted, "No! You two get to the plane together!"]
[Behind him, Rhodey was still in pursuit. Barton, spotting the two flying overhead, immediately ducked into a safe position.]
[Sam continued, "The rest of us won’t be able to leave!"]
[“As much as I hate to admit it, if we want to win this, some of us have to take the fall,” Barton added, nocking an arrow onto his bow.]
[“This isn’t even a real war, Steve,” Sam argued, managing to convince Captain America.]
[“Alright, Sam. What’s the plan?”]
[“We need to cause a major distraction,” Sam explained while leading Rhodey in circles.]
[Scott immediately chimed in, "I’ve got something big, but it won’t last long! Wait for my signal and run as fast as you can!"]
[“If I rip myself in half, don’t come back to save me!” Scott added, sprinting ahead.]
[Bucky raised an eyebrow and muttered, “He’s gonna rip himself in half?”]
[Concerned, Captain America called out, "Are you sure about this, Scott?"]
[“Oh yeah! I do this all the time! Well… actually, just once… in a lab… and then I passed out,” Scott admitted, trying to lighten the mood.]
[“I’m the boss! I’m the boss! I’m the boss!” Scott chanted to himself as he charged toward the edge of a platform, took a deep breath, and leaped off.]
[He landed perfectly—right onto Rhodey’s legs as he flew by. With precise timing, he switched his suit’s function from shrinking to enlarging. Holding his breath, he pressed the trigger.]
[In an instant, Scott expanded from the size of an ant to a towering giant. As his form grew, he reached out and grabbed Rhodey’s leg.]
[“Holy shit!” Spider-Man, who had just escaped the collapsing jet bridge, screamed in shock at the sight before him.]
[“Hahaha!” Scott bellowed in triumph. Despite Rhodey’s desperate struggle, the sheer strength of the giant form prevented him from escaping.]
[Realizing the situation, Rhodey turned his head toward the others and shouted, "Okay! The little guy got way bigger! He’s huge!!!"]
[Hiding behind cover, Captain America and Bucky stared in stunned silence at the towering Scott. "That’s probably the signal," Steve finally muttered.]
[“Incredible! Little Bean just turned into Big Bean!” Sam exclaimed, thoroughly impressed. He never expected Scott could not only shrink but also grow.]
Dr. Pym watched in mild disbelief. While he always theorized that if someone could shrink, they should be able to grow, he never expected Scott to actually pull it off.
But it was dangerous.
For now, he was more concerned with Scott’s reckless approach. "Just enlarging like that? His body might not be able to withstand the stress. Isn’t he afraid of literally tearing himself apart?"
Around the world, people watched in shock. Until now, their knowledge of Scott Lang was minimal, but this was an unforgettable moment.
Yet, while growing bigger was impressive, it also turned him into an easy target. An ant-sized enemy could avoid missiles, but a building-sized one? That was another story.
Meanwhile, Tony fixated on one particular detail—Siberia.
"It sounds like the person Cap is looking for is in Russia. Could it be those super soldiers?"
Some of the spectators dismissed it as too little information to go on, but others were already booking their flights to Siberia.
[Tony, still processing what he just saw, pointed at Scott and yelled, "Give me back my Rhodey!"]
[Before he could do anything, Sam swooped in and kicked Tony away mid-sentence.]
[Scott, meanwhile, casually tossed Rhodey aside. Vision, who had been observing from above, turned to intercept him.]
[Spider-Man sprang into action. "I got him!" he shouted, launching a web toward Rhodey.]
[Rhodey, still disoriented, tried to steady himself, but Spider-Man yanked on the web, using it as leverage to kick off a nearby truck. The force sent the truck toppling over.]
[With a firm grip, Spider-Man pulled Rhodey away from danger just before he crashed into a plane. Then, ensuring he was stable, he swung back toward the battlefield at full speed.]
[Meanwhile, Scott, now a giant, stomped onto a bus and kicked it toward Black Panther. Just as T’Challa prepared to counter, Vision descended, slicing the bus cleanly in half with his energy beam.]
[Black Panther, however, wasn’t distracted. Spotting Captain America and Bucky escaping, he immediately took off after them.]
[Scott, not done with his destruction spree, grabbed the wing of a nearby plane and ripped it off.]
[At the same time, Tony finally broke free from Sam’s attacks. Seeing the situation turning against them, Sam dived downward with Tony hot on his heels.]
[As Sam swerved around a corner, Tony suddenly came face to face with a massive figure wielding an airplane wing like a club.]
[Startled, Tony barely managed to brake in time, twisting his body to avoid the incoming strike. After narrowly dodging, he sighed in exasperation before resuming his pursuit of Sam. Over the comms, he asked dryly:]
["Alright, does anyone else have some insane hidden ability they’d like to show off? Because I’m really open to suggestions right now."]
[Sam, taking advantage of the moment, released a drone from his suit. The drone darted forward and struck Tony right in the head.]
[Tony let out a pained yell as the impact disrupted his flight, sending him plummeting toward the ground.]
"Is his strength really that ridiculous when he gets bigger?!"
2nd Gen Spider-Man was in utter disbelief. The way Scott casually crushed a bus and ripped an airplane wing off—this didn’t make sense! Even if he became larger, he was still made of flesh and blood! How was he suddenly strong enough to tear through metal?
"It’s hard to wrap my head around," Gwen agreed. Compared to them, swinging around on webs suddenly felt… unimpressive.
The most shocked person, however, was Scott himself. Watching his future self operate with such overwhelming power, he could only gape in disbelief. Where did this ability come from?
Dr. Pym, watching from his lab, glanced at the Ant-Man suit in his safe. He thought of his wife, Janet van Dyne.
After that fateful mission, he had retired, severing ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. He had always remained wary of the Stark family, whether it was Howard or Tony.
But now?
Now, with Earth under constant threat, perhaps Scott truly was the right person to be Ant-Man. If war ever broke out, Scott could play a critical role.
Of course, Pym had also considered his daughter, Hope, but if the future showed that Scott was Ant-Man, there must be a reason.
He had to trust that his future self knew what he was doing.
Besides, Scott didn’t seem like the type to betray him and steal the suit. At least… he didn’t look like it on the surface.
Chapter 244: Airport Battle 7
[Black Panther spotted Captain America and Bucky sprinting toward the plane. He was about to give chase when a giant Scott Lang stepped in his way.]
["You want to get to them? You'll have to go through me first!" Scott declared, swinging a massive kick toward T’Challa.]
[T'Challa swiftly dodged to the side but lost his footing and tumbled to the ground. Seeing Scott’s massive hand reaching to grab him, he quickly pushed off with his hands, rolling backward to evade capture.]
[Just as Scott was about to snatch him up, several missiles struck him from the side—it was Rhodey, with Spider-Man trailing close behind.]
[As the distance between them closed, Spider-Man launched a web onto Scott’s arm, using it as an anchor to swing around his limb at high speed. Then, utilizing centrifugal force, he delivered a powerful kick to Scott’s head.]
[Scott staggered backward from the impact, his massive foot crushing a nearby pickup truck. Below him, Black Panther engaged Clint Barton in battle.]
[Barton fired a series of arrows in rapid succession, but Black Panther nimbly dodged every single one at close range.]
[Above, Rhodey continued his aerial assault, bombarding Scott with missiles, while Spider-Man provided support from the side.]
[Barton released two arrows at once, but Black Panther caught them mid-air with his enhanced reflexes. The moment he gripped them, the arrowheads exploded in his face.]
[But to everyone’s surprise, the vibranium suit absorbed the blast entirely. Unfazed, Black Panther calmly discarded the shattered arrows and slowly rose to his feet. With a flick of his wrist, sharp claws ejected from his fingertips.]
[Barton spun his bow, transforming it into a makeshift staff, and smirked. "We haven’t been properly introduced. I’m Clint!"]
[Black Panther remained unimpressed. "I don’t care."]
[Without another word, the two clashed again.]
"Wow, not the friendliest guy," Barton muttered, tilting his head at T’Challa’s curt response.
"Considering he’s literally here for revenge and you’re blocking him, what do you expect?" Rhodey chimed in over comms.
Cap chuckled at the exchange, while Barton simply shrugged.
[Rhodey, still airborne, deployed a sonic weapon against Scott, sending waves of intense vibrations through the air. But Scott retaliated with a single punch, sending Rhodey crashing down to the ground.]
[With Rhodey momentarily downed, Scott grabbed a nearby airport jet bridge and swung it toward him like a club. Rhodey, realizing the imminent danger, fired his repulsors at full power, blasting the bridge into pieces before it could reach him.]
[Scott, undeterred, swung himself in mid-air and attempted to stomp on Rhodey with his colossal foot.]
[Rhodey narrowly avoided the impact by activating his thrusters, darting out of the way just in time. The force of Scott’s stomp crushed a car beneath him into nothing but twisted metal.]
[Meanwhile, Bucky and Captain America were sprinting toward the hangar. Spotting them from above, Rhodey immediately changed course to intercept.]
[Scott reached out, trying to grab Rhodey’s leg, but only managed to graze him as he shot past.]
[Just as Rhodey was about to close in on Captain America, a sudden burst of red energy appeared beside him, slamming him away mid-flight.]
[Rhodey spiraled out of control and crashed heavily into the belly of a nearby plane. Despite the impact, he steadied himself, attempting to recover before he hit the ground.]
[But Wanda was already on him. She manipulated the wreckage around her with Chaos Magic, hurling a massive car directly at him. Rhodey had no choice but to break off pursuit.]
[Meanwhile, Spider-Man crawled up the side of Scott’s giant form, making his way toward his face.]
[Scott noticed and swatted at him. "Get off me!" Though Spider-Man stuck to his hand using webbing, the force still sent him flying through the air.]
[Above, Vision—who had been observing the battle for some time—finally decided to act. Without hesitation, he folded his body and slammed into Scott with a massive impact.]
[Scott reeled backward from the sheer force, crashing into an airplane behind him. Had the plane not been there to support him, he would have toppled over completely.]
[Meanwhile, Barton was locked in combat with Black Panther. He attempted to strangle T’Challa with his staff from behind, but the Wakandan king reacted instantly, using his claws to slice the weapon in two.]
[In the same motion, T’Challa delivered a brutal elbow to Barton’s face, followed by two consecutive kicks that sent him sprawling onto the ground.]
[Without wasting another second, Black Panther turned and resumed his chase after Captain America.]
[Vision, knowing he couldn't afford to get caught up fighting Scott, phased through his chest and emerged behind him.]
[Scott’s eyes widened in horror. "Something just flew through my body!!!" he yelled in panic.]
[Ignoring him, Vision activated the Mind Stone, unleashing a precise energy beam toward a tower near the hangar’s entrance.]
[The beam severed the tower’s support structure, sending it toppling directly in Captain America’s path.]
[Just as the collapsing ruins threatened to block their way, a surge of red energy pulsed beneath it.]
[Captain America turned back, only to see Wanda struggling to hold the wreckage up with Chaos Magic, buying him time.]
[Wasting no time, he picked up the pace, sprinting toward the Quinjet.]
"This fight is utterly insane," 1st Gen Uncle Ben muttered, watching in awe as superheroes unleashed their full power.
Aunt May nodded in agreement, feeling grateful their own universe didn’t have this many enhanced individuals. The entire airport was practically leveled by now.
"I can’t even imagine the repair costs," she added with a sigh.
1st Gen Spider-Man shook his head. The scale of destruction was incredible. Vision could demolish an entire tower with a single attack.
Tony and Rhodey’s firepower alone could obliterate large sections of the battlefield. Only Barton, Black Panther, and Sam lacked large-scale destructive abilities.
Even Spider-Man, despite being relatively small-scale, could effortlessly throw trucks and demolish structures. Post-battle cleanup? A nightmare.
[While Wanda was still holding off the falling tower, Rhodey recovered and aimed his sonic weapon directly at her.]
[A powerful sonic blast disrupted her magic, sending waves of pain through her head. She screamed, clutching her skull, and lost control over the falling debris.]
[Without her magic to hold it up, the tower crashed down.]
[Captain America and Bucky barely made it through in time. The moment they reached the hangar, they found Natasha waiting inside.]
[Seeing her, Captain America came to a halt. Natasha looked at him with a conflicted expression. "You’re not going to stop, are you?"]
[Steve sighed. "You know I can’t."]
[Natasha exhaled sharply, raising her hands. "I’m definitely going to regret this."]
[Just as Cap braced himself, expecting her to stop them, Natasha suddenly turned and fired an electro-shock disc toward Black Panther, who had just arrived behind them.]
[Both Steve and Bucky looked back in shock as Black Panther seized up from the electrical surge.]
[Cap turned back to Natasha, stunned.]
[Natasha simply tilted her head and said, "Go."]
[Cap nodded and immediately sprinted toward the Quinjet with Bucky.]
[Though momentarily stunned, Black Panther recovered within seconds and prepared to chase again—only for Natasha to fire another electro-disc, keeping him restrained.]
Chapter 245: Airport Battle 8
"What's going on? Why did Natasha suddenly switch sides?" 2nd Gen Spider-Man stared in confusion as Natasha turned against her own team.
"A woman's heart is like a needle in the ocean—impossible to predict," Gwen smirked playfully.
"Then, can you tell me what you're thinking about?" 2nd Gen Spider-Man asked, leaning in to steal a quick kiss on her cheek.
"Nope! It’s a secret! Hehehe!" Gwen giggled, resting her head against his shoulder, refusing to answer.
Meanwhile, Coulson observed Natasha with curiosity. "What do you think?"
Natasha pursed her lips, exhaling slowly. "I don’t know… maybe I finally believe Steve is right. Or maybe… I don’t know myself."
"Well, no time to overthink it," Coulson shrugged. "Come on, Scott’s waiting for us."
[Scott was still engaged in battle when Spider-Man, dodging his massive palms, suddenly called out, "Hey! Has anyone here seen that super old movie—The Empire Strikes Back?"]
[Rhodey groaned. "Oh my God! Tony, how old is this kid?"]
["I don’t know! I didn’t carbon date him! I just know he’s young!" Tony replied, exasperated.]
[As Spider-Man swung between Scott’s massive limbs, he started firing webbing at Scott’s chest, circling around his towering body.]
["You know that part? The one on that snowy planet with the big walking machines?" Spider-Man continued, wrapping more webs around Scott’s legs.]
[Rhodey, pushing a cart, rammed it into Scott’s calf, and Tony instantly caught on to the plan.]
["This kid’s onto something!"]
["Tony! Fly up! Fly up!" Rhodey shouted, realizing what Spider-Man was about to do.]
[The webbing around Scott’s legs tightened, restricting his movement. The giant found himself unable to step forward.]
[Tony and Rhodey quickly gained altitude, then swooped down toward Scott in a synchronized attack, punching his helmet at full force.]
[Spider-Man cheered. "Yes!!!"]
[With his legs tangled and his balance compromised, Scott toppled backward. Excited, Spider-Man turned to Tony and Rhodey, flashing a thumbs-up. "That was awesome!!!"]
[But in his moment of pride, he failed to notice Scott’s massive arm swinging toward him. Before he could react, the impact sent him flying.]
[He crashed into a stack of cardboard boxes, rolling several times before coming to a halt.]
[Meanwhile, Scott landed hard, his back crushing the wing of a plane. He groaned, knowing he couldn’t get up again. Accepting defeat, he pressed a button on his suit, shrinking back to normal size.]
[Removing his helmet, Scott grimaced, feeling dizzy. His throat was dry, and he smacked his lips before muttering, "Anyone got any orange slices?"]
[Tony, however, ignored Scott and immediately rushed toward Spider-Man’s fallen body. If anything happened to the kid, Tony would never forgive himself.]
[He hurried to Spider-Man’s side, crouching down anxiously. "Hey, kid! You okay?"]
[The sound of Tony’s voice roused Spider-Man. Dazed, he instinctively struggled to get up.]
[Tony grabbed his hands to stop him. "Hey! Friendly! Guess who I am? It’s me!" he called.]
[Recognizing Tony, Spider-Man let out a relieved chuckle. "Hey, man!"]
["Yeah!" Tony sighed, relieved to see he was conscious.]
["That was terrifying," Spider-Man laughed while lying on the ground.]
[Tony nodded. "Yeah."]
[Then, in a serious tone, he added, "You’re done. You hear me? Great job, but stay put."]
["What? I’m fine!" Spider-Man protested, trying to sit up.]
["Stay here!" Tony repeated, more firmly this time.]
["No! I can still—"]
["Go home!" Tony snapped. "Or I’m calling Aunt May!"]
[With that, Tony took off, leaving Spider-Man lying there, still trying to protest. "Mr. Stark, wait! I can still fight! I can still—"]
[He struggled to lift himself, his hand reaching for his mask, but his injuries finally caught up to him. With a heavy sigh, he muttered, "Okay… I can’t do it anymore."]
Rhodey noticed the strange expression on Tony’s face. "Tony?" he asked quietly.
Tony remained silent, staring at Spider-Man’s bruised and exhausted form.
Why did he bring a kid onto the battlefield?
What if something had happened? Tony didn’t want to see anyone sacrificed… but it always seemed to happen anyway.
Meanwhile, 2nd Gen Spider-Man watched with an emotional expression. Seeing the younger Spider-Man fight so bravely, despite his age, struck a chord with him.
It made him think back to his own broadcast—how he had gained his powers but had done nothing with them at first. He hadn’t thought about using them to help people… and because of that, Uncle Ben had died.
But this Spider-Man? He didn’t hesitate. He fought for what was right, even when he wasn’t strong enough.
That realization made 2nd Gen Peter feel both proud and a little ashamed of himself.
But… the sky screen appear. And because of that…
Uncle Ben was still alive.
Captain George Stacy was safe.
And Gwen… was here with him.
[Meanwhile, Captain America and Bucky finally reached the Quinjet. As soon as they boarded, Cap took control of the onboard weapons, blasting away the debris blocking their path before powering up the engines.]
[Natasha continued buying time for them below. Another electric shock struck Black Panther, forcing him to his knees.]
[But seeing the Quinjet taking off, T’Challa refused to give up. He sprinted forward, grabbing onto the landing gear just as it retracted.]
[As the wheels folded into the aircraft, Black Panther realized that if he didn’t let go, his arm would be crushed by the door. He had no choice but to release his grip.]
[The Quinjet soared out of the hangar, gaining speed toward Siberia. Seeing this, Rhodey immediately accelerated, determined to catch up.]
[On the ground, Black Panther slowly stood up, his eyes locking onto Natasha.]
[Natasha, still calm, simply said, "I told you I’d help you find him—not catch him. There’s a difference."]
[T’Challa remained silent.]
[Above them, Vision landed near Wanda and gently wrapped his arms around her. "I’m sorry," he murmured.]
[Wanda, still catching her breath, looked up at him. "Me too," she whispered.]
["Like I said," she exhaled, "this whole thing… it’s a disaster."]
