Marvel : I am Thor Chapter 301 - 305 {END}
Added 2025-01-25 01:00:01 +0000 UTCChapter 306: After the War
The Phoenix Force blazed brightly, consuming Thanos’ lifeless body. The flames reduced him to ashes, ensuring his complete and irreversible end.
Thor watched the Mad Titan’s remains burn, but his expression betrayed little joy in victory.
The nightmare that had haunted him for decades—Thanos, the enemy of his life—was now history. More than twenty years of struggle and hardship had finally paid off. Thor had changed his destiny, yet a strange melancholy lingered.
Nearby, Tony Stark’s Celestial Armor opened slowly, allowing him to step out. He approached Thor, his movements weary, and muttered, “So... is this nightmare finally over? Because I’m broke. The drones? Toast. The Iron Legion? Scrap metal. Mark 85? Gone. And now even the last Celestial Armor is kaput.”
Tony’s words came faster, his frustration spilling over. “I was planning to use this beauty to challenge you, but nooooo, instead it gets wrecked by Grimace over there.”
Thor listened, his expression softening. He suddenly pulled Tony into a bear hug.
“Yes,” Thor said simply. “It’s over.”
Tony hesitated, then patted Thor’s back. “Yeah... it’s over.”
The battlefield had quieted, but the cost was clear.
The Nine Realms, united against a common enemy, would now be a forbidden zone in the universe. Earth’s hidden power, often underestimated, had revealed itself to be among the greatest in the cosmos.
Thor’s presence filled the void left by Odin and the Ancient One, solidifying him as the new uncrowned king of the universe.
“That’s the best news I’ve heard all day!”
The voice was strange yet familiar. Thor and Tony turned to see a short man—barely 1.6 meters tall—approaching. His face struck a chord of recognition, but the half-broken shield in his hand caught their attention most.
“Uh... are you Steve’s kid?” Tony asked, raising an eyebrow. “Wait, no, that doesn’t make sense. Did the Captain have a kid we didn’t know about? And who in their right mind would send a minor to the battlefield?”
Tony’s trademark sarcasm was in full effect, but Thor chuckled. “Steve? Is that you?”
Captain America, now stripped of his super-soldier enhancements, smiled warmly. “The world doesn’t need an old soldier like me anymore. Maybe it’s time I finally retired.”
Sam Wilson, the Falcon, landed beside him, folding his wings. “Well, congratulations, Steve. You can finally take it easy. But... it’s a little sad knowing there’s no Captain America in my world anymore.”
Steve’s smile didn’t waver. “Everyone has it in them to be a captain.”
“Hey, Brooklyn!”
Bucky Barnes, his vibranium arm gleaming, ran up to join the group.
Thor watched the reunion with a small smile but soon turned away, his gaze landing on Doctor Strange standing nearby. Even without his magic, the Sorcerer Supreme exuded confidence, his cloak billowing dramatically in the wind.
Thor approached him. “Is this the ending you foresaw?”
Strange nodded. “Yes. If it had been revealed, it would no longer exist.”
Thor understood. If Strange had interfered or shared what he knew, the course of events would have shifted unpredictably. Dormammu, Surtur, and Nightmare might never have emerged, but neither would Thor’s newfound power. The battle with Thanos would have been far more difficult, if not impossible.
Thor shook his head and turned to leave. After a few steps, he paused, an amused thought crossing his mind.
“You know,” he said, looking back at Strange, “I just realized—I took care of two major problems for you. Dormammu and Nightmare, wasn’t that Kamar-Taj’s job?”
Strange shrugged. “Perhaps. But you seem to have taken to multitasking.”
Thor smirked. “What my lover does is what I do. So, shouldn’t you at least offer me a reward?”
“Like what?” Strange asked, arching an eyebrow.
Thor grinned mischievously. “An Infinity Gem or two?”
Chapter 307: Infinite Reversal
The Time Gem, a relic I swore to protect, now sat in Thor’s possession.
When had Doctor Strange become so generous?
Of course, this wasn’t generosity. Strange was cunning, and he knew his limits. Without magic, he couldn’t wield the Time Gem, let alone protect it. In Thor’s hands, however, the gem could serve a purpose—something far greater than gathering dust.
Strange’s logic was simple: if Thor claimed something as a trophy, it wasn’t coming back. Infinite Gems included.
Thor, unlike Thanos, wasn’t foolish enough to destroy the gems just because he couldn’t use them. No, Thor would find a use for them—perhaps as diamond rings for the women in his life, or something equally audacious.
Thor pocketed the gem with a grin. Even the Mind Gem wouldn’t be returning to its previous owners.
Tony raised an eyebrow. “You’re saying Vision isn’t just the Mind Gem?”
Thor nodded. “Exactly. Vision is a complex being, a combination of J.A.R.V.I.S., Ultron, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and the Mind Gem. It’s a delicate balance, and honestly, the gem might be doing more harm than good.”
“So... you’re saying we can separate him from the gem and still bring him back?”
“Not only can we,” Thor said, smirking, “we should. I’ve heard Vision struggled to control the gem’s power. Removing it could make him even better.”
Tony hesitated, his suspicion flickering. “You’re not just angling for the gem, are you?”
Thor shrugged innocently. “Does it matter? You’re not resurrecting Vision for the gem—you’re doing it because he’s family. Right?”
Tony sighed. “Fine. What’s the plan?”
Thor raised his hand and made a casual gesture. A portal appeared in mid-air, and Vision’s lifeless, headless body floated through.
The Time Gem glowed faintly, casting an ethereal green light over Vision’s form. Slowly, his body turned red once more, and the damage inflicted by Thanos began to repair itself.
When the process was complete, Vision stood before them, whole again—only now, his forehead was smooth and empty, devoid of the gem.
“Vision,” Tony said, stepping forward, his voice trembling. “How do you feel?”
Vision blinked, then smiled. “I feel... good.”
Tony let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding.
Nearby, two Valkyries tended to a still-unconscious Wanda. Their expressions were tinged with worry—not just for her, but for themselves.
The Valkyries, once Asgard’s most formidable warriors, had lost their divine powers during the battle. Without their strength, they feared they might no longer have a place in the new Asgard.
Thor approached, sensing their unease.
“Brundhilde,” he said, addressing one of them directly. “Do you know that Valkyries have another duty beyond fighting?”
The two women exchanged confused glances. Thor’s playful smile made them nervous.
“What duty?”
Thor’s grin widened.
Realization dawned on the Valkyries, and their faces flushed. “You are the king,” they said in unison, their voices flustered. “You have the final say!”
Thor chuckled, patting Brunhilde on the shoulder. “Relax. You’re not going anywhere. Asgard needs you.”
He waved them off, then knelt beside Wanda.
Wanda looked frail, her body overdrawn from the battle. She was no longer the vibrant Scarlet Witch who had stood against Nightmare and nearly reversed Thanos’ six-gem snap. Yet, even in this state, her strength and resolve remained evident.
The Mind Gem floated into Thor’s hand.
Most people would hesitate to touch such a powerful artifact, fearing its influence. But Thor held it with ease, unaffected.
Wanda stirred, her eyes fluttering open. When she saw Thor, she managed a faint smile.
“Did I... screw everything up?”
Thor’s voice was soft. “No. You were incredible.”
He gently rubbed her head, his tone full of warmth.
Wanda smiled again, her tension melting away. She leaned into Thor’s chest, her eyes closing as sleep took her once more.
Drip!
A familiar voice echoed in Thor’s mind.
“Congratulations, host! Task complete: ‘Witch’s Growth Plan.’ Reward unlocked: Skill—Reversal Infinity.”
Reversal Infinity: Active skill. Negates the effects of any reality-altering abilities. When reality is modified by external forces, this skill can restore it to its original state within one hour.
Thor smirked. “Well... wouldn’t a world without superpowers be a bit boring?”
Chapter 308: Endgame (End)
At the end of 2022, a golden glove rested before Thor.
The Dwarf King, Eitri, examined the freshly forged Infinity Gauntlet with a nostalgic expression. “Many years ago, your father, King Odin, commissioned me to forge a glove capable of wielding all six Infinity Stones. But he abandoned the project when he realized that uniting the Stones could bring unimaginable disaster. The unfinished gauntlet was locked away in Asgard’s treasury, forgotten... until now.”
Eitri sighed heavily. “Now, Odin is gone, and the Infinity Stones belong to Asgard. Perhaps this is fate.”
Thor shook his head. “It’s not fate—it’s my design.”
He slipped the gauntlet onto his hand, the six Infinity Stones gleaming brightly as they mounted into place. Waves of gamma radiation coursed through his body, but rather than harm him, the energy recoiled as if touching something untouchable.
Eitri’s face darkened with caution. “Thor, when the six Stones unite, one snap can destroy the entire universe. I hope you will wield this power wisely.”
Thor nodded solemnly. “I will.”
Back in the castle of New Asgard, the Red Queen’s voice echoed through the halls.
“Welcome back!”
Thor glanced at the youthful hologram of the Red Queen and couldn’t resist asking, “Do you want to become human?”
The Red Queen blinked, caught off guard. “What? No. A body, no matter how perfect, is inherently flawed. I’d rather not end up like Vision.”
Thor chuckled. “Vision’s not so bad. Why the hate?”
She hesitated before answering. “Let’s just say I prefer being what I am. Vision is the strongest synthetic being in the world, yet... his connection to humanity has always been his greatest flaw.”
Thor’s smile widened. “You lack life and emotion, don’t you?”
Her tone shifted, tinged with excitement. “You mean... you can fix that? But do you even understand this power, Thor? You’ve been using it mostly for destruction.”
Thor raised the gauntlet, the Stones shimmering. “Maybe I didn’t before, but I do now. From this moment on, I am destiny.”
“Wait—Thor—!”
But before she could stop him, Thor snapped his fingers.
The glow of the Infinity Gauntlet subsided as a slender, solid figure materialized in front of him. The Red Queen—now fully human—stared at her hands in disbelief.
“You’re... you’re alive,” Thor said, his voice soft. “And no longer just an AI.”
Her eyes widened as realization hit her. “Wait... where are my clothes?”
Thor barely had time to react before he was blasted out of the hall by a furious punch.
Sitting on the ground outside, Thor rubbed his head as Natasha approached, a smirk tugging at her lips.
“You deserved that,” she teased, sitting beside him.
Thor rolled his eyes. “Can you blame me? It’s not like Tony prepared clothes when he made Vision!”
Natasha glared at him. “Vision was based on J.A.R.V.I.S., who was essentially a wise old man. The Red Queen... well, Alice now, was practically a child! How could you not see the difference?”
Thor cleared his throat, quickly changing the subject. “Why are you here, anyway? Shouldn’t you be training those recruits?”
Natasha shook her head. “They graduated ages ago. I’m here because they’ve started going on missions.”
“Missions? Thanos is gone. Who’s still causing trouble?”
Natasha shrugged. “As long as there’s ambition, chaos will never end. Just recently, Stark Industries dealt with a guy named Quentin Beck—an actor who thought he could seize power. Tony dealt with him, of course, but it’s proof that there’s always another villain waiting in the wings.”
Thor sighed. “Tony must’ve had a field day with that one.”
As the sun began to set, Thor stood at the highest point of the castle. Jean Grey joined him, silently watching the horizon.
“I told you once,” Thor said, breaking the silence, “that when I’m strong enough, I’ll open the gates between dimensions and let you return to your world. You could see your family again.”
Jean stiffened, her gaze lowering. After a long pause, she whispered, “Do I even have a family left? My father... he’s better off without me. The Professor only took me in because I’m a mutant—and a dangerous one at that.”
Thor studied her carefully, his expression softening. “So, what’s your plan?”
Jean hesitated before answering, her voice trembling. “I want to go back, but... I want you to come with me.”
Thor chuckled, reaching for her hand. “With the Infinity Stones, I can do anything. Anytime.”
The light from the gauntlet flared brightly, and the world around them shifted.
A new journey had begun.
Author’s Note:
This is the conclusion of Thor: Endgame. Writing this has been an incredible journey, one inspired by my love for Thor and Marvel. I envisioned this story as a way to explore a more powerful, more complete version of Thor—a version that wasn’t just about brute strength but about destiny and responsibility.
Thank you to all the readers who have joined me on this adventure. May Thor’s journey inspire your own.
