This next project will feature 1 character (instead of 2 like last time).

After reviewing recent feedback and performance across platforms, I’ve decided to return to the character style used in Project 1, which featured a white character.

While the polls were mostly positive or neutral about the recent switch (to a Black character), the shift hasn’t performed as well overall. Specifically:

• Noticeable drop in views and interactions

• More downvotes on Reddit and Rule34Video

• Fewer new subscribers (paid and free)

• Most of the current paid members originally joined after Project 1

To keep the momentum and support going, I’m pivoting back to the original character focus that clearly resonated more.

That said, the semi-gothic/dark environment style with darker lighting, makeup, and moody atmospheres is staying and actively improving. It’s received strong feedback, and I’m continuing to experiment with LUTs and lighting setups to elevate the look even more.

I’ve also been learning and integrating After Effects into my workflow, so future projects will feature more visual effects and rhythm, adding more energy and a PMV-style feel to the edits, instead of things feeling static or dry.

Part of all this is about trying different things, seeing what sticks, and dialing in the best experience for you.
