Course of Temptation May Monthly Update (v0.6.5)

Hello friends! It's time for the May update. This month's major features:

Anonymous streaming: A frequent request that also did fairly well on the last priority poll, now being tackled. By wearing a mask, or buying a VTuber software bundle (currently just for PG streams) you can retain your anonymity while streaming.

Opportunity events: Opportunity events are context-sensitive, player-initiated event options that can appear at many locations in the game under certain circumstances, mostly depending on what NPCs are around you. These often invite you into a conversation (instead of hiding that option behind several clicks), and there are also a few new unique events among these. More to come!

Coffee shop dates: BangCoffee is now a fully operational nightlife location with employees and a dress code, and there's a new hangout/date type there.

Better-dressed NPCs and bell curve physical attributes: NPC color choices are now dictated by color palettes — sorry, no more lime green tops, rainbow pants, and glittery shoes. Their physical attributes are now set by a bell curve calculation, allowing for occasional extremes.

Customize names for bits: You may have noticed this game refers to certain body parts a lot! You can now set what these are called, choosing labels categorized by gender, plus a category just for your player character.

As always, a huge thanks goes out to the volunteers who contributed to this update, as well as to the generous supporters who continue to make this project possible.

If you're not aware, we're maintaining two parallel development cycles:

• The monthly update might contain new event sets, new locations, or new mechanics, but usually focuses on extending existing content or polishing existing systems. It comes out once a month with whatever we got done in that time period... hence the name!

• The roadmap update checks off one or more items on the roadmap, adding extensive new mechanics and a bunch of related new events in one go, often fundamentally changing how the game can be played. It usually takes multiple months.

Release notes

• You can now make your streaming career anonymous by wearing a mask

• You can do a “face reveal” to generate high interest for your stream, and maybe even earn a big tip

• Alternatively, you can purchase a VTuber software bundle (requires a computer and camera) and stream as a VTuber (currently only available on Niche.tv)

• You can now ask sexual partners for quickies through in-person dialogue, if an appropriate location is available nearby (for certain values of appropriate)

• Added compliment option to in-person dialogue

• Underwear collectors: You can now see whether you’ve collected a specific person’s underwear (under their Voyeurism category), and viewing the collection in your dorm inventory will show a list of people you’ve collected from (implements proof-of-concept by Noonycurt)

• Underwear removed during a makeout session is now tracked properly for potential future trophy-taking

• The coffee shop on Bancroft Lane will now consistently generate employees, functions as a nightlife location, and has a dress code

• Coffee shop dates at BangCoffee are now available (contributed by HeeHo)

• Added some new special seeds to make certain sexual proclivities more common: peachykeen, lickforluck, and footloose (You can always find these and a description of what they do under the "What is a world seed?" link on the world generation options screen)

• Added some skillbooks to raise some skills that didn’t have skillbooks previously, notably Exhibitionism and Voyeurism

• It is now possible to add an NPC and their partner to a polycule or similar arrangement together, if they both really like you

• NPC appearances are now generated on a bell curve distribution that allows for occasional more extreme values

• Several retro or boho-style clothes have been moved to River Peninsula, a new store (contributed by HeeHo)

• Several animal print items have been moved to the Wild Fantasies online shop

• NPCs now use color palettes for most of their outfits, making their color choices more restrained and sensible (contributed by Noonycurt, expanded by HeeHo)

• The “override genitals text” option is no more!

• Under Content Options, you can click a new option labeled “Edit body parts text” to change how different bits are referred to, separated by gender, plus a category just for the PC

• Added a new event type called Opportunities — though currently a bit limited, there are a few new special events linked to it, and this will be an area for future expansion

• Opportunities present themselves at certain locations under certain circumstances, with the goal of allowing the player to proactively launch events with NPCs

• Opportunities also interface with the in-person dialogue system, a feature that’s otherwise hidden behind a couple clicks, by finding context-sensitive reasons to put you into a conversation or start a specific interaction with a particular NPC (like seeing a crush and being offered an option to talk to them)

• In-person dialogue time advancement changed from 10 minutes to 5 minutes

• There is now an indicator on the People button on the left sidebar when a person from your Favorites list is at your current location (contributed by Noonycurt)

• The NinJudo manga adventure continues (contributed by Meat Glacier)

• Many fixes and tweaks
