The feedback period for this survey has now ended. Thank you all so much for filling out the survey!
Hey folks! It's James again, this time with a short post and a big update. Attached below is an updated version of Draw Steel: Heroes. You're gonna need it to playtest our next adventure, Road to Broadhurst.
Road to Broadhurst is an introductory adventure for an experienced Draw Steel Director to run the game for three to six players of any level of experience with the game. We eventually plan to put this adventure up for free online so that anyone could run it at home, a game store, a convention, a library, a community center, or wherever else they choose. This adventure uses the pregenerated heroes from The Delian Tomb and leads into that adventure. Or you can make your own heroes using Draw Steel: Heroes and play with them!
The adventure is modular and has four different parts, so you can play it in 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours depending on how much time you have.
Here's the survey for your feedback on the adventure:

You'll have until 8AM Eastern US time 6/16 to fill out the survey and get it back to us.
This adventure hasn't been edited yet and it was written before the hero book was fully edited, so it may have a few typos and style inconsistencies. It also hasn't been laid out. This is by no means complete. It's just in playtest form!
The PDF of Draw Steel: Heroes attached to this post is CLOSE to locked. Most of it has been edited at this point, but there are some lore sections that still need a once over. We also want to add a glossary and index. It's likely that you'll still find some typos here or there, which is normal. We often catch a few typos, additions, revisions, cuts, and clarifications we want to make in the layout process because this book is over 241,000 words. But the words are PRETTY DANG CLOSE to done.
You'll notice the layout here is actually a little less dynamic than the last time you saw it. There are no more colors in power rolls for instance. That's because as we get the manuscript ready for layout, we strip out the fancy stuff in the Word documents we're working in so that it comes nice and clean into the InDesign project where our layout team led by Chris Hopper makes it even fancier.
If you want to make your own heroes for the adventure, a blank character sheet is also attached to this post!
If you want to find a group to playtest Road to Broadhurst or want to chat about the core rules, head on over to the MCDM Discord. Be sure to link your Patreon and Discord accounts so you can also chat about the adventure with our other Patrons.
That's it for now! Happy gaming!
