MODS TROUBLESHOOTING REPORT

These reports will help you get my mods to work for you in most cases.  If you post an issue just be aware that I've seen it from the comments and Discord. The response to mod issues will be in these reports.  It'll help more people who have the same issue and reduce repetitive responses.

This week the most reported issue has been:
-Computer interactions not showing up

Potential Solutions
1.  Check that you have the latest version of xml injector if it's listed as required for a particular mod.  (Without it some interactions will not appear)

2.  Check that you're using the all-in-one power pc.  My latest mods work on most computers but just in case try this one first.

3.  Some desks won't display all interactions from a computer or custom computer interactions.  Try a different desk.  Next try a different chair. Change the lot as a last resort to see if that works. (Keep trying because this is usually the problem, desk and chair combo)

4.  Check for required packs.  Make sure you have the required packs for each mod.

5.  Check that script mods are enabled in game settings.

6.  Check that you downloaded the mod correctly.  Unzip the mods, do not remove or separate the files.  The script file cannot be placed deeper into a folder, the game won't be able to find it.

7.  Make sure you've updated the game to latest version.

8.  Avoid duplicating by removing old versions of a mod.  The game won't work.

Cause Of The Problem:
If you continue to experience the issue of missing computer interactions I'm not sure why.   The custom computer interactions I create are made with Mod constructor v4 or v5.  V4 will create a python script file that only works on the all-in-one power pc.  That's why it's the only one interactions show up on.  V5 makes it possible to add all computers with the python script file.

There are some computer interactions that will not work with either v4 or v5.  Things like SimPickers aren't available in mod constructor and have to be created using Sims4Studio.  These require xml injector.  If you see a mod of mine require xml injector that's usually the reason.  The injector works like the python script file but you have to add an affordance interaction shared by most computers.

Proposed Fix Ideas
I'm probably continue to use v4 for computer interactions and hold off on v5 until I understand it better.  They seemed to show up as long as you use the all in one power pc using v4.  If you don't mind being stuck to that pc then computer interactions should be a lot more stable moving forward.

Expect an update to the Music Industry Mod for this reason.  We'll see if this makes things stable or not.
