I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY THE OTV CARDS

ImTooAsian

I dunno if anyone has given an answer to why a dice exists with card types on it It's for playing liar dice Literally it is for a version of this game instead of cards you use like 6 of those dice in a cup shake it and say how many kings you got like this game

Aidan O'Sullivan

I've seen a lot of people react to this video and myself included, everyone loves John's role in the background he does a phenomenal job. I think another reason it did so well is seeing everyone dress up and put on an accent to play a character, which gave both the cast and viewers something new to keep engagement with. Sydney in particular killed this performance. Regarding the overlay I don't think it was very clear what cards each person had and what was being played, definitely could've been shown better, perhaps with card images being shown above each player's head or the cards themselves when played.

Very late, but I would love an OTV deck. I agree with the idea of a wide shot to see the balloons hanging from time to time as a reminder. I think the overlay was cool without showing their hands, but I was also confused with the amount of cards, so maybe showing the total number of each card next to the played card count would've helped. I used to play this with my friends using a standard deck, and you used card numbers to keep track of who's lying (ie. if they called 3 sixes, and you have a pair on hand, they either have a joker or are lying)

1. Absolutely would want a deck for OTV, it'd be so cute. 2. I think the interface of what things they played without showing the hand was fine so we didn't know if they were lying until checked, as long as we can know how many type cards and jokers there are supposed to be in the full deck. Otherwise, it'd be preferable to see all of everyone's hands so it feels stressful and it is like poker. 3. Another thing Brodin mentioned was about widening the shot and I agree that seeing the balloon could have been handy to remind us and also maybe changing the content of the balloon to be something more visible for the audience but not flour, there is e coli is often found in it(cornstarch instead?). Though if they complained more about being wet, it would be fine too.

Yes on the deck

Subarudine Meth

I would also buy one!

Jason Irie

I would also buy the deck of cards that Lily made. It was done so well!!

Sharie

yes would buy the OTV Card deck

Justin Lau

I think it would be nice to have a OTV card deck. I'd love to have one.

Dabos

It did take a while to get to the first death, but I enjoyed it because I liked the suspense and it would've been unsatisfying if any of them died quick because I liked watching each of their characters play. I think if they played more rounds then killing someone fast would have been fine, but since it was only one round, it would've been disheartening to see one of them die quickly.

Pakou Yang

I will say that I lowkey had no idea how the rules worked fully other than if you get called out for lying you have to shoot the balloon BUT I think the cast did a great job a keeping the vibes up which made the video very fun to watch

DayV

i think OTV should take inspiration from SMOSH's game channel. i think OTV would thrive being competitive playing board games while playing characters.

Ismael

I would kill for a set of those OTV cards, physical or modded into Balatro!

Patrick

This was such a good video

L3ON

I think for the overlay, it would be better if you displayed the hand of each player and whatever cards they played it will be highlighted in red. If it got back to their turn again, the cards already played will be in gray. Overall, great shoot! John killed it in his role.

Yvonne had by far the best character cosplay, so unpredictable and so well done. And my favorite moment was that shot of her dropping her head to the table lol (even though it wasn't planned). So good!! I think it's better to show each player's hand. It would make the game easier to follow/understand. It wouldn't take away anything, imo, just make each round more engaging/entertaining to watch. While it might be hard ensuring the gopro captures everyone's current hand at each moment, I think even just showing the 5 cards they had started that round with and displaying it on the overlay throughout the round would do a lot to improve the viewer experience. Especially since so many of them played it so safe most of the video, being able to see the actual deception going on adds the spice that's missing for the viewer.
