Really Good Way to Learn Vocab
Added 2024-08-18 02:06:24 +0000 UTCIn summary, when you learn a word and want to remember it, spend some time with it. Look for it in articles. Look for pictures of it if you can. Watch videos with it in the title. Look it up on Wiktionary. Say it out loud a lot. Try to find a good sentence you could actually see yourself saying it in, and practice it.
I learn probably dozens of words a day, but I forget them. Overtime, I'll get so used to these words that I'll naturally start using them. However, I find it super beneficial to also learn words like this (in this case kính). This method allows me to immediately start using this word and very actively build a bigger vocab.

Thanks for this. Funny enough I just joined here and I will be going to Vietnam for about 3 months (likely leaving just when their rainy season ends) and I was doing Pimsleur (I'm up to the 6th lesson). I was hoping you'd have some tips for learning and it is funny you're doing the same language! Cheers
