C1 - I Have To Be A Hero, Right?

Very loud sirens echoed through the overcast city of Yokohama.

All doors of houses or buildings were closed and everyone fled as far as possible from the red zone circled inside the map of their cell phone or digital device.

The sirens and the red zone were a sign that a Kaiju had appeared there!

"Mom, where are we going?"

"We're going to run away from the monsters!"

"Damn, it's so close to my house."

"Run! Everyone, run!"

Children, women and men of all ages evacuated themselves as quickly as possible.

In the distance, they could see a seventy-meter-tall monster that looked like a red lizard.

The monster's huge eyes twitched, its mouth of sharp teeth dripped green slime and its huge tail had just wagged and brought down a company building.

The sight was enough to make most people quicken their pace to run!

Run as far away from the monster as possible until the Defense Force came and eradicated the monster for them!

In less than 10 minutes, the area within the red zone in Yokohama was emptied and not a single citizen remained there except for one person.

"Um... Koko, you want your host who is still level one and hasn't completed any tutorials to kill such a big lizard? I'm glad you're optimistic about me, but hey... you are too optimistic about me."

"Host, don't be pessimistic. You have Koko."

Or rather two people who went against the grain by standing in the middle of the road and not evacuating when everyone else did.

"Yes Koko your system." Koko said.

Yuta and the girl had actually only been acquainted for an hour and that was not long after Yuta had awakened his memories from his previous life which let him know that he was a Reincarnator.

His golden finger had just arrived in the form of a loli who called herself his system back then and Yuta gave her the name Koko.

"So... What are you able to do besides being a cute-looking loli system?"

"...."

Koko was stunned for a moment, but soon she waved one of her hands in the empty air beside her and a golden wheel containing a 2D character image and a long needle in the center appeared.

It flew through the air with a slightly blinding light and was three times the size of Koko's body.

Yuta was familiar with that thing. Wasn't it some kind of lucky wheel with a reward?

Yuta's blue eyes sparkled.

Koko's golden eyes were flat and she said, "This is your starter pack, host. Quickly spin it once and get an anime character template or any other fictional character that will make you strong."

"...Can you give me a more detailed explanation?"

"Host, you know we don't have much time for that, right? You need to kill that monster quickly before the group from the original work comes."

"Koko, you mean the Defense Force?"

They were the Japan Defense Force, Third Division.

"This time it's Honju-level Kaiju huh... Are there any Yoju around?"

"Its defenses may be strong, are the weapons we brought from headquarters enough?"

"You're acting like a rookie. We have Captain Ashiro who can easily defeat something that big. What are you worried about?"

"You're right..."

The few people in the car started laughing, there was no tension at all even though they were about to battle a monster the size of a company building.

After all, this was actually not their first time fighting Honju-level Kaiju. They managed to survive the battle and at most sustained a few injuries thanks to their powers and the two strong men of the Third Division.

The two people in question were their Captain, Mina Ashiro who was leading the way with her pet.
