Some people can't afford or aren't willing to work for two majors; I'm one of them. In hindsight, I probably should've picked the one that pays the bills.

But that's why he double majored. if you followed the video, he mentioned that he had the opportunity to study in England for his masters in economics, his other degree. "One paid the bills, the other was a fun hobby"

reddit users seem to think that the platform is some kind of magical place. no other site is like it and everything is better when you create a subreddit for it. i don't know how i should feel about reddit. sometimes i used it when google spits it out as a result or when i find a nice subreddit during lectures like foodporn i will afk browse the pictures for a while. and literally anything i'm interested in already has it's own establish communicaitons channel

"...if you pursue a degree in something that ends in "Studies", you'd be better off taking that money and starting a restaurant" This is an uncomfortable comment to hear as someone who got a B.A. in Cinema STUDIES. On the one hand, my debt was relatively low and only took a year to pay off; on the other hand, that explains my unemployment issue.

I'm with Timur. A massive benefit to Patreon would be if he read these comments. Reddit is nice and all, not trying to tell him to change anything he prefers. Just saying it is a time honored tradition to sell 'access'.

Why it should be "reddit or patreon", why can't it be "reddit and patreon". And patreon can handle thousands of comments. It is literally possible to do a live chat in patreon comments (some creators do that)

Given that Grey had 7k+ comments, Reddit was a good choice β Patreon would not have handled that number of comments well at all.

Too bad you kinda ignore your patrons on Patreon. As I said I will not start using reddit just to ask you a question (it is not likely I will start using it at all, as it seems like a waste of time to me)

The star wars answer was my favorite - I too don't count the prequels :)

Did you specifically look for a few questions you wanted to answer?

I just got Superintelligence on Audible without even listening to a sample of it because of how much Grey talks about this book.

Love that first answer. Reminds me of Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality.
