Hi CGPGrey, could you make a film about the True beginnings of Patreon?
HOW I INVENTED THE PATREON WITH JACK
Many years ago in a magic bubble,
there was GRIMES (me) and JACK CONTE debating the starving artist trouble,
I told Jack we must simply make the lookieloos pay double.
I invented the concept where tire kickers Pay to Try it On,
we charge them up front, then once more before their gone!
For example when I walk into Hugo Boss to buy a suit,
I really just want my measurements,
and to get fondled by a retail staff cutie.
But then I go home online and I shop at Sammydress,
they photoshop cheap tshirts with muscles so they look the best,
the retail profit goes back in my pocket,
save the cash for a hottie to explode my rocket.
It works the same way when a maiden wants a ring,
The jewel retailer must make them PAY to TRY it ON,
or they'll never earn a thing.
She'll run back home to get a deal at Ice dot com,
she didn't measure with a thread, so now her size is not wrong.

Apart from who owns it, from 0:03 I just learned that there are 4 South Poles down there, way more than I was expecting...

Not to be the spelling Nazi, but since it's not widely released yet, you may want to review your spelling of Antarctica...Antartica has slipped in a couple of places, for example this posts heading.
Happy New Year ;)

You meant hellointernet.fm, not .com in the Squarespace ad read at the end.

I agree! I've missed seeing CGP on social media, as he took a break, and its nice to see he's still working on great stuff. Like explaining comically complicated geographic politics :)

Curtis, you may be first, but this is the first time I've had a chance to see a video on Patreon before it was "published". So I'm going to take that as a win.
Also, nice to have a 'classic' Grey video just before the end of the year.
