Nebula Original - Why Has Tori Amos Never Had a Hit?

This is going to sound insane, but I only recently got into Tori thanks to , Lord of All, Rick & Morty. You've doubtless been told, but that song worked unbelievably well for a story about Men and Boys who pretend not to care about each other. I think I took Tori for granted when I was a Gen-eXgder and MTV only played "God" with her anyway... thanks for making me aware of this. In particular that one song. Not a lot of guys are ready to admit this, but, its about me too.

Gosh have I always found Fantano insufferable And hey, one more season of Stranger Things and it could overlap with her first album from 1988. She could get that Kate Bush moment! (oh please please don't)

Thanks to this video I have now discovered Tori and "Winter" and have listened to it while crying for a cathartic, indeterminable amount of time. Thank you Lindsey 💙🦋 well done

It’s happening to me too! Did you get it figured out?

Pocket & Locket

I have listened to winter too many times

Question, it may just be me but does anyone else have problems with some videos playability? This and the Xmen video will not load

I discovered Tori Amos a few years back where Silent All These Years played a prominent role in a short-lived Netflix coming of age series called Everything Sucks! I was immediately fascinated by her music and feel in love - she has some tremendous songs. This was a really insightful video where I learned a hell of a lot. Really fascinating look into her career and how it compares to modern examples of fame set against the backdrop of social media. Thanks for this - really wonderful video.

I had no idea who Tori Amos was, but Silent All These Years triggered enough of a glimmer of recognition that I decided to dig through my music. Something like 20 years ago, I ripped my parents' entire CD collection onto the family computer. That library has been copied from computer to mp3 player, to external hard drive, to laptop again and again over the years, and I still have all those CDs on this computer to this day. Sure enough, Silent All These Years is in there. Ripped from disc 2 of Atlantic Records 50 Years The Gold Anniversary Collection. (Disc 1 is conspicuously absent; I don't think my parents had it.) Amazing how something that barely touched my life can shape the trajectory of someone else's. That's why I love learning about things I never knew that I never knew.
