Discontinuing the $10/#passion/name-in-credits tier
Added 2021-10-12 20:13:50 +0000 UTCHey guys,
At the end of October we will be discontinuing the $10 tier, meaning this upcoming video (slated for release a week from today) will be the last one to feature names of Patrons in the credits of the video. Going forward patrons can still give as much or as little as they want, but there will only be one tier for everyone, and we will discontinue patron names in credits. This isn’t a reflection on anything patrons have done but is a completely internal decision; we will discuss why and what is changing in coming months.
We want to thank everyone at the $10 level and higher who has supported us throughout the years, and trust that those videos with patreon credits will live into eternity, or at least as long as those streaming platforms still stream.
With glorious anus,
Lindsay

I am so sorry after reading this.

2021-12-30 07:46:42 +0000 UTCThank you for all of your videos. You were an inspiration and I am sad it has brought you pain. This subscription is a token amount of my appreciation.

2021-12-28 11:11:39 +0000 UTCFucking hell that’s rough. I’m sorry you’ve gone through all that. Thanks for your videos, I’ve enjoyed them a lot. And thanks for the books, they’re great! I hope you look after yourself and are happier with a bit more distance between you and all this.
2021-12-28 10:34:42 +0000 UTCI also became a patron to leave this message - we owe each other nothing, and I understand this can't possibly undo the damage of this year, but I wanted to thank you for everything, to help support your team, and to do whatever little thing I could to support you while you figure out what's next. I hate what happened to you. It's sick. I hope by stepping away you're really able to begin to heal and whatever comes next, in whatever form, is wonderful for you.
2021-12-28 06:30:38 +0000 UTCI am honestly really sad to hear this. Particularly when things get political or when shit gibbons are attacking you on Twitter or on the internet at large, I liked the idea that I could publicly stand by you in some way (one that didn't involve me like... going on Twitter). I trust there is probably a very good reason for this decision, and I trust you folks to make the best decision for yourselves, and will continue to support and recommend your content both here and in public.

2021-11-04 03:44:02 +0000 UTCI never got my name in the credits for the last one, that sucks. I don't mind that my donation didn't result in the tier promise at the end of the tier bring operational, ill support you regardless but I'm pretty disappointed that I didn't get the last send off :(

2021-10-21 22:32:08 +0000 UTCThe only "tier" yes, but you don't HAVE to pledge at a "tier" to pledge at all. You can pledge any amount you want, tier or no tier. The main difference now is that all patrons will be receiving the exact same things. There will be nothing extra for higher pledges (beyond our effusive gratitude and ability to continue making content!). No matter what amount you give, your pledge goes toward paying a staff of 5 people (including everyone and their children's health insurance!), so thank you for whatever amount you can pledge! --Lindsay's assistant, Elisa

2021-10-17 17:26:32 +0000 UTCMakes total sense to simplify. Like a lot of patrons, the name in credits thing was never the reason for my level of support. Hope all is well and the coming changes make your life easier!

2021-10-16 00:06:23 +0000 UTCHaving my name on your work while I was at the $10 level (pandemic income issues forced me to reduce it) actually seemed weird to me. The only reason I was ever there was to vindictively piss off someone on Twitter who was complaining about Patrons seeing your videos first.

2021-10-13 23:28:00 +0000 UTCI don't support you because I need to be recognized for *my* amazing work as a patron. I'll keep supporting your work because it's entertaining, intelligent, and a net good.

2021-10-13 17:42:31 +0000 UTCWhile I did get a little thrill out of seeing my pseudoname at the end of each video, I'm quite happy to continue supporting at this level. Cheers, and I hope all is well!

2021-10-13 15:17:50 +0000 UTCGood to know. {thumbs up} :)

2021-10-13 12:49:48 +0000 UTCI decided to support because I love your videos... and I still do! So I'll stay at my present level even if all patron benefits disappear entirely. Hope things are going okay - the announcement made it sound like there's probably some stressful nonsense that's contributed to this decision which you're dealing with, so hopefully that's not too bad.
2021-10-13 04:39:47 +0000 UTCI guess this gives me the opportunity to rethink my pledge and just make it *larger* out of spite! 😄 Love your content and thank you for letting us know.

2021-10-13 01:14:16 +0000 UTCThat's a bummer. Thanks for the heads up, and, as ever, all of your hard work.

2021-10-12 23:19:43 +0000 UTCDown with the oppressive 10 dollar tier people! I am obviously kidding, and I think it really makes sense to do it that way once you get to a certain level.

2021-10-12 23:03:37 +0000 UTCMy experience with Patreon is that a supporter can give any amount of money they desire (I give lots of creators a very small amount each) regardless of what "tier" system the creator has set up. Probably Lindsay and crew will just remove the stated bonuses from each named tier, but even if the tier labels are removed, the amount pledged will most likely continue unchanged. I may be incorrect, but it seems likely that if something needed to be done on our end to keep the big bucks flowing, they would have worked hard to let us know what to do.

2021-10-12 21:46:09 +0000 UTC.. ok, I'll be the one asking then: what makes that anus so glorious? what private joke was I not there for? (maybe it just is that glorious, I am no expert on such things)

2021-10-12 21:40:23 +0000 UTCStill and always a loyal patron. Whatever comes next, I support. Beyond proud of you.

2021-10-12 21:16:08 +0000 UTCThanks for keeping us in the loop. I'm just happy to support your work!
2021-10-12 20:43:58 +0000 UTCIs this related to the lawsuit regarding omegaverse? Are you protecting us? If there is one
2021-10-12 20:33:16 +0000 UTCI share WJZAV's concern. I can't help but be worried. Ultimately, though, you've earned my trust and I'm willing to be patient to find out what's happened or is happening. On a strictly personal note, while it's a matter of pride to have my name on your credits, that's secondary to continuing to support your work. So long as the disappearing tier won't affect my ability to continue to do so, then okay.

2021-10-12 20:32:59 +0000 UTCHonestly that's a good problem to have. Much love Lindsay!

2021-10-12 20:30:03 +0000 UTCDoes that mean the lower tier will be the only tier?

2021-10-12 20:28:49 +0000 UTCThat is a lot of names to keep track of. :p

2021-10-12 20:28:41 +0000 UTCJust to confirm, I don’t need to do anything and you’ll continue taking my $10 in exchange for the goods? Or do I need to update the amount once the tier is gone?
Chad Langford
2021-10-12 20:24:27 +0000 UTCCall me paranoid, but when you say you will discuss it in coming months, it sounds like something serious has or is going to happen. Is everything alright?
