Welp, I'm out of Patreon jail
Added 2020-09-23 03:41:39 +0000 UTCSo as some of you may have noticed, the post on the Omegaverse video links not to the correct video but to a Bane fanvid (for a couple weeks anyway). Well, SOMEONE sent a DMCA takedown to Patreon, and for reasons discussed in the Omegaverse video, Patreon had to honor the damn thing or they were legally liable. Thing is, all that meant was just that I had to unlink the alleged "infringing" content, I didn't even have to delete the post. Anyway, she sent the DMCA notice, I sent a counter-claim, she had ten days to sue me, she didn't (as far as I know, there may be a court clerk rushing to my house, papers in hand as I type this), so my account is back in compliance, hooray.
So you may be wondering, if she went for Patreon, whyyyy in god's name did she not go for YouTube or Nebula, where the content is actually hosted? Well as to the latter, I'm not sure (super weird since two versions are hosted there and it's one of their top viewed videos), but as to the former, well, we shall talk about that... next time.
And to any, er, invested parties that threw me a dollar to get behind the paywall, a) thanks and b) I really, truly did not intend to ever talk about this story again. It was meant to be a one and done, but SOMEONE had to go and make me part of the story.
