Gone in Nebraska

One of the things that I can't understand about media companies, is their lack of transparency. You see it all the time.

If the Mayor resigns, or even their chief off staff is suddenly gone, you can bet the local news station will be down at city hall, asking questions and demanding answers.

But, when one of their people is suddenly gone, they say nothing.

Back in February, Standard Media's KLKN (Lincoln, Nebraska) hired Sophia Pollman as the station's new evening news anchor.

It hasn't been a year and it appears that Pollman is gone from the station.

This is how the anchor bio page looked not long ago.

This is how it looks now.

The station has made no comment as to why Pollman is gone and many are confused.

At the very least, KLKN could say that she is no longer with the station and not just disrespect viewers by saying nothing.

TV stations demand transparency from so many they cover, yet they don't practice it themselves.

Yet, they wonder why trust in local news is at an all-time low?

“Many are confused?” I’m not saying they aren’t but you need to back that up with proof otherwise this is speculation.
