Longtime Anchor's Breakup with Nexstar

This is a followup to a FTVLive Patron Only Story that we posted back in November.
On November 21st, FTVLive wrote "...source tells FTVLive that a longtime popular Anchor might be gone from the station, and nothing has been said publicly. "Morning anchor Darya Folsom has been off the air for quite a while and apparently she’s already said her goodbyes to select staff before disappearing from the Morning News," said our insider."
We then added, "Folsom, who has been an anchor at KRON for more than 20 years had her contract expiring and negotiations did not go well."
Others are catching up to the FTVLive story from nearly a month ago.
SFGate says that Folsom alleged that when contract negotiations began, the station’s initial offer was for a new role. Under that contract, Folsom would have been taken off the air, and she would instead be producing content for KRON-TV’s Roku app, KRON4+. Instead of her substantial salary, she would receive hourly pay and work six hours per week. She declined the offer.
Folsom also told SFGATE that KRON-TV did not tell her colleagues that she had left, causing a brief panic in the newsroom. The morning after her contract expired, she said she received a phone call from a KRON-TV producer at 4 a.m. asking where she was. She has now been missing from the morning broadcasts for nearly a month.
After 27 years at KRON Folsom was the Bay Area’s longest-running morning news anchor.
“I’m the face of KRON,” Folsom told the paper.
It doesn't appear that is the case any longer.
