Taking a Shot at the Boss

As you have likely figured out, I am all for telling it like it is. But, when you have a boss, you might want to hold your tongue a bit.
WHBQ (Memphis) morning Meteorologist Brittani Dubose posted on social media a couple of things that might have the bosses raising and eyebrow, and the HR people taking another look.
Dubose made a post about her friend and co-worker Carolyn Cerda leaving the Rincon station. The post included a picture of a guy flipping off the camera. That might not be the best picture to use on your station branded social media.
But, while the bosses might not be happy with that, it is what Dubose said about them that might have the suits a bit hot under the collar. While talking about Cerda's exit, Dubose writes, "I hope she's appreciated more at her next place."
Clearly, this was a swipe at management and it might have been a well deserved swipe at that. We have all worked with someone that did a solid job, but never seemed to get the credit they deserve from the boss.
I give Dubose props for sticking up for a friend, but I'm not sure social media was the place to do it. And the middle figure picture should have been left out on your professional page.
