A week has passed~!

A week has passed after the first release of Harem Residence~!

After being nervous for the first couple of days, hoping it wouldn't suddenly explode on people's faces (and it sort of did on Mac!), I began working on the update that would become 0.02!

So, what's new?

Well, three QoL changes have been made to the game based on some comments and suggestion I have received from you guys.

The first one would be tweaking the behavior of the Girl Screen (where you see their hints) and added a button to go back to the Girl Select Screen. So, now you can either go back or close the window entirely. I hope this makes the process of reading hints less tedious!

The second change was in the Map Screen. A button to close the map was requested, and...well... now there's one! Hopefully it'll solve whatever issue you guys had that usually required you to go somewhere else and return...

The third technical change is the addition of a Quick Menu at the bottom right side of the screen. It has four buttons: Back, Skip, Auto and Menu. These buttons are pretty common in Ren'Py games and shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out what they do.

Alright, so what about new content?

Well, for the initial release of the game, I tried to pack as much content as possible for the main nine girls, since I didn't want a 30 minutes demo. And while the main heroines had, what I like to believe, a decent amount of events... some of the rest of them were seriously lacking... like for example Megumi and Nagisa, who only had one interaction each.

For 0.02 I want to even out things a bit for them. Nothing too crazy that would take a couple of weeks of development, but at least a few hangouts to increase those love points!

By now, you most likely have noticed that there are several types of events already coded in the game. The main events of each character or group. The Sunday events. The sleepovers. And finally, the wake up H.

0.02 will introduce a new type of event that I like to call Other Perspective. As the name suggests, these are events that you can watch from the perspective of the girls. You can watch those at any time as long you have triggered the condition to do so, which is simply progressing with the girls.

These events occurred while you were busy doing something else. And will vary between the girls just chatting around, them having fun together or maybe alone.

The events are completely optional, so you can skip them if you don't like watching Girl on Girl action.

Okay, cool. So, when does the update comes out?

Ah, the question. Well, I'd like to say when it's done. But that triggers some PTSD about a game that took decades to come out. Anyway, I don't really like the idea of throwing updates with little content for you guys to play... but at the same time, I don't want to make you wait too long.

So I think the healthiest route here would be to take another week to pack as much as I can, release it and continue working from there. So, yeah... I'd say in at least 8 days from today.
