September AMA Stream Tomorrow?
Added 2020-10-01 02:55:19 +0000 UTCHey all,
I've been tinkering around with OBS settings and troubleshooting the dropped frames issue, and I finally seem to be getting a consistent bitrate. So it's possible that I've unfairly maligned Comcast (though usually everything is their fault so I don't feel too bad).
Let's all make an offering to the broadband deities and hope their mercy lasts beyond tonight. If it does, let's try the stream again tomorrow, October 1 at 7pm ET.
The stream will be archived and posted here as usual for those who miss it live. I'll read the questions from the same invite post I would have used tonight (15+ folks should leave their questions on that post, not this one, or I won't see them during the stream!).
I'll post the link to the stream here shortly before it starts.
Looking forward to chatting!

2020-10-01 23:03:25 +0000 UTCSomewhere in Baltimore, there must be a nice, trustworthy person with a CCNA cert who can pinpoint your problem. It *feels* like you have a problem with latency and QoS rather than upload speed because Comcast made some brain-dead decision about what normal residential service looks like, and then made any serious attempts at troubleshooting impossible with brain-dead tech support designed to give the illusion of due diligence. But I don't know for sure because I'm not there with a laptop. Best wishes and good luck.
