Invite to Submit Questions for "August" AMA Stream

Dear 15+ Patrons,

I'll be doing the "August" AMA stream tomorrow, September 6th at 7pm ET. The stream will be archived here as always for those who miss it live.

Use the comments on this post to submit a question you want to ask me. IMPORTANT: since I can't put a character limit on your comment, I will only read four lines of text leading up to the question mark. If your question is longer than that I will only read those last four lines! This is to avoid multi-paragraph preambles that are awkward and time-consuming to read on stream.

Looking forward to chatting!

All my <333

just wanted to send a hug, virtual and covid19 save :)

Hi Natalie, You're one of the most inspiring creators on YouTube imo. What are your thoughts on stop motion animation? Do you think you'd ever incorporate any kind of animation into one of your videos? Hope the move goes well!

If you had super powers, what would they be? Not, what would you wish for, but if you were to attribute to your human physical or mental self, your excellences. Don’t be too humble. Too Justice; love it. (Am I using semi colons correctly?) The ‘domesticated revenge’ to ‘wild justice’ insight is where I see your brilliance shine. If X, than X. But with modern contexts informed by ancient wisdoms and so such. I’m sure it’s philosophy 101 but fundamentals support pyramids. Many head pats Drinks the waters Don’t let yourself get too in your way. Thanks you much.

This may be a little too much like spoilers for Justice Part 2, but do you have any major criticisms of the "restorative justice" perspective? Either conceptual/philosophical criticisms or practical ones. I've never heard anything negative about restorative justice, even though it's been popular in left-wing circles for long enough that I'd expect loads of people to have CriTiQuED it. That makes me wonder whether the popular conception of restorative justice is more of a utopian ideal, like the word "communism," where if you try to do it and bad things happen, everyone will just say "well that wasn't real communism." Do I need to get out more?

Hi Nat, is it possible for fans to send any physical fan material your way? We have a cross-stitched quote from “Pink Flamingos” that we think you might love. We’ve loved your work for a long time and thought that physical stuff might be a great reminder that there are people out there who love you (even if it’s in a hopefully-not-too-creepy parasocial way). Thanks for all you do! - 💕 H&M.

Hi! As a recent home buyer I found the loan process and real estate agents kind of predatory and downright creepy. What was your experience like?

Thank you for these streams and for your hard work.

Apologies if this is a bit personal. I wanted to ask about how your sense of self-identity changed over the period of time when you were identifying as genderqueer, and how that relfected in your gender expression? I'm asking because I feel as though I'm living through a similar experience. The rest of the post is just context, so don't feel like you need to read it out I'm constantly in conversation with myself about the gender identiy I aspire towards (woman) and the reality of how I'm able to be percieved as someone who is pre-everything. I'm a very visible and active trans person in my university/professional life where I do a lot of work with huge public and private organisations. Because of that, I feel the need to align the identity that I represent and my presentation (which is basically femme non-binary) in order be taken seriously. But, it creates this dynamic where I even though I don't really know "who" I am, I'm constantly given a public platform to make statements about issues that are often tied directly my "identity". Side note: If the world ever goes back to normal and you do more travelling things. I'd be honoured to host you again at UBC, or in some other professional capacity in Vancouver

Has having had such a brutal cancelling and coming out the other side of it more successful than ever (if the forever growing amount of question askers on these streams is anything to go on) affected your views on cancellation? Has it made you reappraise what happened?

What are your thoughts on QAnon? I live in Sedona, and watching my beautiful earth loving peace loving crunchie friends embrace Trump has been disheartening and utterly terrifying, frankly.

Hey Gorg, I've found myself in the position of arguing with an alt-righter about antisemitism and trying to convince him that Jews are not behind every thing he thinks is happening in the world (ex. white extinction theory). Would you consider creating content about JQ or do you have any suggested reading? Thank you for all that you do <3 Priyanka

Hi from 東京. As someone who found you through your right wing debates, I wonder which debate was most engaging for you. Least engaging? All the best.
