Very interesting essay. Lots to think about. My mind keeps catching on the section "MOBBING AS WITCH HUNTS". In it, the author cites Silvia Federici's definition of witch hunts as "responses to shifts in capital accumulation". Perhaps the perpetual Contra-versies are an inevitable result of Contrapoints' success? Also, this part made me particularly sad: "In ideological spaces, this damage is exacerbated by the fact that the victims are often earnest people who take the ideals to heart and can’t understand why the culture is going contrary to its own messages. They appease, self-incriminate, blame themselves—anything to be a Good Person. They don’t want to fight. Fighting sickens them." :,(
