New Patron Reward Tiers Proposal

Hi friends,

As I've been suggesting for a while, I've decided to update the patron reward tiers for this page. However, I won't change anything without running it by you all first.

So here's a tentative proposal for the new reward tiers, followed by an explanation:

2: access to monthly AMA streams (can watch streams and archives of old streams, but cannot submit questions)

5: access to commentaries on old videos (including earlier, unlisted stream archives and newer patron-exclusive ones I will record)

10: patron name in credits

15: submit a question for each monthly AMA stream

20: patron name featured more prominently in the credits (larger, at beginning of credits)

The most obvious thing I can see some of you objecting to is that some current rewards (credits, AMA ask) are now for a higher tier. The reason for this is that the current reward structure was designed when I was charging patrons per video, and doing two videos per month. So the new proposed tiers would restore the original structure as well as keep the volume of the credits and AMA questions manageable as the page continues (many thanks!) to grow.

I've decided to eliminate outtakes videos (which I've neglected for a while because they are time-consuming for me and not all that popular) and Discord hangouts (which are getting too large for me to effectively lead the discussion, and which exclude a lot of patrons who can't make the scheduled monthly time).

The main new addition will be my recorded commentary streams, a few of which I did publicly last year and which proved very popular.

The proposed changes won't take effect till next month—so, for example, if you've pledged $5 this month you will still be in the credits of the upcoming video.

Let me know what you think of the proposal! I'm pretty happy with it and will go with this unless it's unpopular with you all. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions too!
