New video! Does the Left Hate Free Speech? (Part 2)

This is the only patron-funded video I'll be doing this month. The upside is that it's basically three videos in one. What a great value for you!

I decided to read the names of the $10+ patrons who were new last month, to cover the gap left by my dropping that reward. Next month I'll be rolling out a new $10 reward, possibly involving an AMA or access to patron-only live streams.

Let me know what you think of the video! Hopefully it doesn't get flagged and removed like the last one (which, thanks to some kind intervention on my behalf, is back up). I'll let you know if it happens and I'll have a new link for you.

I'll be at VidCon the rest of the week and might film some little collab vlogs and things while I'm there, so I'll likely be posting some of that soon as well.

(Note to new $5+ patrons: new patrons will be in the credits for the first time the month AFTER they pledge. This is because Patreon doesn't actually charge anyone for anyone for anything till the 1st of the following month, so they recommend not doing rewards until then. Hopefully that makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions!)

Hi, you explained the origin of "safe space" in this video. Have you found something about the origin of "trigger warnings"? I've heard phrase first in 2001, it was used on the internet by primary people with borderline-disorder, or ppl who know ppl with BPD, and it was often used when the content was about "blood", "violence" and "basically scary stuff". From what i've heard ppl with BPD can enter a psychotic-episode by getting "triggered" (which is possible if they watch or read certain content). So back then I thought "trigger warnings" were (maybe) kinda useful to these poor people. But nowadays it's completely overused and lost pretty much its old value. But i wonder where the phrase originated from...

The part about gay people not experiencing enough homophobia...oh wow. Thanks so much for this. I also wonder if people who hate 'safe spaces' are as critical of conservative/religious colleges. Which are basically the biggest 'safe spaces' of all. Also, loved the Sunny in Philly clip, including a surprise visit from one of my favorite actors, Jimmi Simpson!
