There's nothing quite like the daunting realisation that something won't work after you could of sworn you've tried and tested something. The system of moving stockboxes around and items around the store was something I've wanted from day one. But there was a problem.
The destinations are very specific on where you can put those boxes as you can see, box 1 has to go to the box 1 destination. And box 2 has to go to the box 2 destination. And that's all well and good but what happens if you stand in the destination with the box on your head?
It kept triggering the event over and over again, giving the player a constant stream of points. The solution? The plugin that allows the player to move events like this lets you change the power strength of the throw.
So in the second event you have to type a comment saying
Comment: throw 1
This means that the event will be thrown 1 square, so right in front of the player. If we change this to two however it means we'll throw it a square away from the player. Which means that throw will bypass any impassible blocks. This means it prevents the player from standing in the space and getting free points, while also still being able to throw the boxes into the required destinations!
Problem solved, even if might seem a little primordial to some!
