$15+ Patron Hangout Tomorrow at 2pm Eastern Time

Hi $15+ friends,

This month I'm going to try using Discord to host the Patron hangout. If you don't know, Discord is an app that you can run in your browser that basically works just like an old-fashioned chatroom. The advantage over Google hangouts is you can have more than 10 people in chat at once.

I have my own ContraPoints server, and within the server there are different text-chat channels, like #general, #books, # politics, etc. There are also voice-chat channels where you can do audio chat. We'll use one of these called "$15 Patron Chat" to do the hangout tomorrow. To use that I'll have grant you privileges.

So what you should do is click on the link below, accept the invite to the ContraPoints sever, and create a screen name that's preferably similar to your Patreon name, so that I know that you're one of the $15+ Patrons (Or, if you don't want to use your Patreon name, send me a message with your screen name so I know to add you to the $15+ chat). Then post "hi" or something in the #welcome-station channel.

I know I'm making this sound complicated but it's pretty intuitive. You can message me if you have any questions!

We'll start the hangout at 2pm Eastern Time tomorrow and see how it goes! If it's too crowded, what I may do in the future is split the group in half and do separate times. I may also try doing chats at different times if people with different schedules/timezones find it hard to make a certain time.

I'm still figuring out how to manage all this so thanks for your patience as we work this out by experimental method!
