GOAL REACHED!

Dearest Patrons,

I simply cannot thank you enough. In less than two months my support here has doubled, and I'm now able to do this full time. It's a somewhat precarious existence, admittedly, but I'm certainly better off than I was before, and, for as long as this lasts, it's really a fairy-tale-ending best-case scenario for me. 

The increased funding means that, in addition to spending more time on videos, I can also continue to increase the production quality. As promised, this will start with getting a DSLR camera to film with, which I should be able to do in the next month or two. I want to do some research before making that investment, and any suggestions from those of you who know anything about photography/videography are welcome.

One of the surprising things I've learned over the last six months is that I actually enjoy video editing more than any other part of the craft. As I get interested in more sophisticated editing, I'll probably need to upgrade from iMovie to a big-boy editing program. I also may need to get a computer that can handle more advanced editing, as my old MacBook is barely keeping up as is. But one step at a time.

I intend to keep to a schedule of two to three videos per month. I wish I could do one every week, but I just can't produce them that fast without sacrificing quality, and I can't live with myself if I sacrifice quality, so two or three videos at most per month is my  limit.

I do hope to start uploading simpler, non-funded videos from time to time—for instance, I'd like to  release videos occassionally where I address mistakes I've made in the past, or things I've changed my mind about.

For now, I'd better get back to work on my next video. Thanks again so much for all your support over the past several months.
